We finally got some rain. Probably .75" or so earlier today. I think they said all we had up until now was .50" since the FIRST week of June! Top that!

I've never shot a 25-06 and you could count all the 30-06 rounds I've shot on two hands, all at the bench for my father. 270 & 280 are a different story as I had a Rem 700 LH 270 and a Rem LH KS 280 that have both had plenty of rounds sparked down the barrel. Killed enough deer and a few antelope to fill a couple Tacoma's to capacity! Thanks for all the help guys.

Thanks bubba. Sounds like you and Pygmy both had good results. Yes, I'll be reloading for it, that's the best part of a new gun IMO! It'll could be a week or two before it is here. Then I'll need to source some rings for the unique dovetailed receiver on Sako rifles. As for a scope, I have two available in mothballs right now. A varix II 2-7 and a varix III 2.5-8. I think the second one will go on it until I can come up with a smokin' deal on a varix III 3.5-10. The hunt is on now for dies (Redding or RCBS) brass and bullets. I'll be so cash poor I won't be able to afford paper targets...........<<grin>>
