  1. Looks good. Did you get a Tree Spider LiveWire yet? If so, what do you think? I ordered one a couple days ago off the web.
  2. My arrow, including BH is 418gr. out of my 63lb Guardian. Broadhead is a 100gr Slick Trick.
  3. I bet that fox thought you had the 20ga 1000 & a 410.........................................................
  4. Skyslammer hasn't been back since that post above, that's odd??
  5. I won't admit to agreeing with you but I might. Make sense? <grin>
  6. Thanks for the offer. If you hear of a 2011 Hunter, 60lbs @ 28-29" color doesn't matter to me. Black or one of the camo's are fine. Snow camo, not so much. >>>------->
  7. That's the one I'll be looking for in December. Hopefully a salesman's sample or a lightly used specimen.
  8. The State uses it as a management tool these days. Used to be the "traditional gun" thing but as posted, that's a thing of the past for the most part. Even though I enjoy all guns, especially accurate ones, I do enjoy hunting with the old Hawken flintlock. REAL black powder, English flints, patched round balls and open sights. Doesn't get much better!
  9. I've met you in person Dan, that fox probably thought when he saw you "I could feast for a month on THOSE chicken legs" <grin> If he ran into me nekkid he'd say..................."food for life" <no grin>
  10. Drama.................................
  11. Hind legs is my preferred way to hang them. I wouldn't hang one by the neck for a lot of reasons included respect.

I carry different ones all the time. The past couple years for gutting I'm using a Wayne Clay folder quite a bit. That will probably change this year as I have a newer Gene Wiseman to bloody. Sometimes a fixed blade, either an Ingram or a Denning. I enjoy my blades!
  13. Good deal! Look forward to hearing your thoughts. I was checking out a couple new ones today. Bowtech and Elite, nice stuff.
  14. One, adjustable HHA. It's always on 17 yards.
  15. Helly Hansen Impertech. I've had a set for years and it's worked very well. Worth every penny.
  16. Or have two pair of socks on. And, NEVER pick up a single glove near a tree stand.
  17. 1) On top of the other replies posted regarding driving vs flying and the enjoyment of the entire trip for a couple retired guys, the logistics of getting a moose or two home on a plane may elude you. Having to not worry about how much gear your bringing, controlling your own destiny and traveling when and where you want trump any plane ticket/time savings for a couple retired guys having a great trip. 2) You watch to much TV. (Jim Shockey's guys kill 2-3 moose in 30 minutes.) 3) Before you ask BizRODude, cows are female moose, NOT the black & white heifers you see in the farmers barnyard.
  18. Well, glad you and your boy are all set. This might be a good thread to lock........................................................ You never know what other wisdom will come out of BizRDude,
  19. I think he's drinking again. No such thing as a 243 Weatherby anyway.
  20. That was the Limburger working it's magic!
