eh it's still over $200. It all depends on when you got on. Shit could still rocket tomorrow, or you could be kicking yourself for not cashing out at today's high. I think anyone in under $100 a share is pretty safe, maybe just not buying the new boat they thought they were.

i've been in on GME for a decent, but not life hurting amount since 39. I sold enough at 150 to cover my investment. This has been a wild ride and now have a small position in AMC and even smaller in NOK.

QAnon and hunting don’t mix
Five Seasons replied to Versatile_Hunter's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
lol, you think people are paid to stir the pot on this tiny ass forum? oh good grief. My point is that I don't disagree with his political beliers, but that doesn't mean he can't be pressing to talk fishing and hunting. If he's not posting in any of those topics, then sure give him the boot. -
QAnon and hunting don’t mix
Five Seasons replied to Versatile_Hunter's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
wtf ignited this comment? Who cares what skin color, religion or political affiliation you are? None of them have anything to do with hunting, why you hunt or who is "allowed" in the community of hunters. This comment right here and those that like it make me sad to be a part of this board and that's coming from a life long registered voting republican. -
Understanding Scope Specs
Five Seasons replied to Northcountryman's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
mounting the scope correctly closer or further away to where you "shoulder" your gun is more critical then some people realize. The last thing you want is a big buck coming and and to be fighting with that black halo of death (non technical term) to get the buck properly in your scope. Note that different magnifications seem to affect this too, someone more knowledgeable than me can explain better, but if i remember correctly you start at the highest magnification and then everything under should line up. sorry for not using technical terms, but sometimes I know that helps others. -
to be clear, i never said there was anything wrong with it either

Admittedly I don't watch a lot of outdoor channel. I stick with meateater, the hunting public, heartland bowhunters and fresh tracks. I think the late 90's early 2000's style hunting shows will go the way of the dodo bird. Guys wised up some to lee and tiffany and the drury brothers marketing style shows. I don't blame them for a second for capitalizing, but I do think many hunters have come full circle and don't mind watching a hunt where nothing is killed at all. And to be fair, this guy in the video above was all about the latest greatest rifle, optics and gear and even says as much. He's just not in camo haha.

Just a comment here. I have never targeted a deer based on what I think he may score. Like just about everybody but wolc though, I of course do target older mature bucks and I am a sucker for a unique rack. I don't like to share pictures but take my word for it that there is a very large typical 9 with great length that would outscore a wide 12 with short tines on one of the properties I hunt. The wild 12 has some stickers and he's just gnarly. I'd shoot either in heart beat of course but would prefer the lower scoring wide 12 if I had a magic wand. All that said, I think it's cool to score deer after the fact. I don't see why anyone would take issue with someone scoring and I of course don't take issue with anyone who doesn't care about the score either. To me, it's an "after the fact" thing and generally speaking doesn't do anything to detract from the meat in the freezer or the memories made in the harvest. PS congrats again on the nice buck!

i've always had success showing up in court and taking "the deal". The covid thing is interesting.

eh not bad. I don't understand the overproduction at the beginning and while I understand how this could represent many hunters, it doesn't speak much to me. But there's nothing wrong with that. We all hunt for different reasons and that's what's great about it. There is of course a very european/gun hunter vibe to this. I really liked his opening remarks about pressure and balance, that resonated well with me. The processing part is well done too. Check out stars in the sky on netflix if you get a chance. A longer/different take on why we hunt.

Struggling getting Yotes to come in!
Five Seasons replied to Big Cat!'s topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
i have not, i also use primos sit-n-spin, which is like your fox jack. I'm not the best guy to ask though. Much better and more experienced yote hunters here that could chime in. I haven't seen or heard much about full size decoys though. -

i'm the same man, I go when I can. combo it with some deer and turkey scouting. If I get some, great. If not, the hike was still the best part. wings man, wings. Quarter them, fry and dip in wing sauce. Delicious! -

taxes and social welfare programs without an idea of how to pay for them??? what???? who woulda thought? I'll vote for a school tax hike as long as he makes the crossbow all season legal -
that last buck made a tingle between my legs, I'm a sucker for something a little different, no disrespect to the other beauties.

bushy tails are frustrating this time of year. We see them all fall in the deer woods and figure it'll be easy to get 2 or 3 no problem, yet once they're done gathering they're not nearly as active. I find late day or early morning best. Even better if you can find a nice sunny calm day in January or February they seem to be out and about. But windy and overcast (which is most of our days) they're not nearly as active. -
I dont usually ask but help is really needed
Five Seasons replied to G-Man's topic in General Chit Chat
forgot to mention that i got my shirt last week and they came out great. I didn't wear it last game and obviously i need to keep wearing the same clothes or they wont win this week, so I haven't had a chance to rock it yet hope your friend and family received a little support from this. -

not this time a year, dog and I have had a few over many, many years and typically that's during turkey hunting sitting in a field. Have been free and clear since using permethrin though. -

i wish I could say this opportunity was easy peasy, but it too has some neighbor/co hunter dynamics. This one a little easier to manage and bow hunter friendly though. All that said, I didn't start hunting it till this past season as I was never driven to find new land and I agree 100% with you. Try to look at the possibilities in shitty situations and you'll be happier in the long run. -
This Is What Your NRA Thinks Of NYS
Five Seasons replied to DirtTime's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I've been an off and on member for a long time and frankly I'd like to see a new organization take over this cause. I don't discount and won't forget what they've done, but I also feel they've horribly mismanaged some of their approach to things. Maybe they didn't have a choice when it came to their "no budge" attitude and I certainly can understand as every inch given seems to just lead to a death by a thousand cuts. All that said, I'm not sure who or what could start a new group in todays age where anything remotely conservative in values is seen as a new racist extreme right wing group, so should one start from grassroots, you'd expect "new NRA" would be getting some very bias and targeted media coverage and with the dems owning the whole government (thanks donald), we could be in for some scary times. Remember sandy hook was all it took for emperor cumo fueled off of fears to push through his act over night. With the capitol riot, I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar approach soon. -

have you tried a decoy? one of those mechanical rabbit tail things? Might be the extra ingredient they need to commit.
