  1. I ship in a gun box and cover any identifiable markings on the box. If you were closer I’d let you borrow my Browning box lol.
  2. There’s a guy in PA that will polish up the trigger for a reasonable cost and it brings the trigger down to 3-4 pounds. I may go that route but we’ll see, I don’t intend to be winning any accuracy competitions with it. Lol heres his info info for anyone interested http://www.neiljones.com/html/gunsmithing.html
  3. No glass, it would defeat the purpose (for me) of being lite. Plus I don’t skimp and don’t want to drop more coin.
  4. I left the food management biz for something completely different, I’m learning to drive truck with Fedex freight. So far it is so different I love it, I haven’t even gotten to drive yet. Just been training and putting around on a forklift. No more holidays and weekends to worry about and it’s nice to be able to just show up and work and not worry about meetings etc.
  5. I got this for tracking and still hunting because it’s lite, compact and a Browning. I choose to order a 358 because it’s plenty enough to put an end to anything I encounter and I can resize 308 if I want. Being a reloader expands choices of calibers and I never have to worry about finding ammo. Franks guns near Amsterdam had everything I needed on the shelf so it was a one stop shop deal and when I picked it up tonight I was in and out in no time. Ill be sending some lead down range soon and working up load pronto. Heres to new careers and new guns!
  6. Says the guy who try’s to pass memes, fake quotes as fact and believes in wild conspiracy theories. Maybe the problem is you? Nah couldn’t be. Lol The NRA has become a money machine for the leadership that is delighted at each shooting that happens because they know it means more attacks on guns means more donations from members. I have no doubts that they help pour gas on the fire to get more hate from anti gunners because they have guys like you figured out. They know you will send that check in the mail to help out. Why do their leaders rake in millions? PS I know the answer you will give already.
  7. I slice, tenderize and then lightly dredge in egg/flour and pan fry. I did Turkey Francese last week, it’s a hit around here. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/tyler-florence/chicken-francese-recipe-1951951
  8. I’m going to remind my wife it’s mother’s day right after she gets done weed whacking the front of the house.
  9. It’s part zombie and must be destroyed. No mercy.
  10. You can either put out the baking soda in bowls all over or sprinkle it in affected surfaces like dogs and furniture. Been there done that and came close a second time.
  11. Well I got up and checked the weather and after weighing my odds decided to wait for better odds. I plan on killing the bird I have been saving for my son because he made some bad decisions and got himself in trouble at school. It will be one of the many lessons he will learn this week while on suspension. I will even save the fan so he can look at it as a reminder to make good decisions in the future.
  12. Grampy are you near Rennselaerville? I was somewhere out there the other day and my buddy’s spots are covered up in birds. Couldnt go today but I think I’ll give it a shot tomorrow.
  13. Had a great morning out with a buddy I hadn’t talked to in a while. Had birds going in one spot and decided to leave them at 745. Went to another spot two minutes down the road and set up then had birds going again. Called in two jakes from several hundred yards and smashed one at @40. At first I wasn’t going to but my buddy really wanted me to take one so I obliged. They put on a show across two long fields, fun hunt and that is what it is about. I’m glad he reminded me of that. Dude has an impressive selection of calls and gear by the way.
  14. Boy you really tricked the Mermaid, poor lady. Congratulations!
  15. Managed to get the blind up just before the rain started back up.
  16. Heading towards the back yard. be there in an hour. At least my wife wasn’t able to shoot it, she tried. Lol
  17. Relocated on some birds out in a field and got a report from my wife that there is a Tom in the back yard strutting. Lol Son of a .....
  18. I had one come down on my wood pile. Kinda stacked itself.
  19. Watched some birds across the valley head this way followed up by two dummy’s that walked thru the middle of two big fields. Gotta love opening weekend lol Head a hen in between but it is quiet here, probably from the birds being spooked. I wonder if I can call those two hunters in and yell at them.
  20. Damn it’s too bad you weren’t closer, a friend told me to keep an eye out for her kid and this fits the budget perfectly. I doubt she’ll drive 5-6 hrs unfortunately, I sure as hell would for a car owned by Pygmy!!
  21. Back in 92 (12yrs old) when I started my dad and I went out clueless with a $6 box call and had birds all over us. Good times.
  22. It could turn out like a cartoon when you pull the trigger and bubbles come out.
  23. Tornado watch here, wonder what turkeys do when they get blown out of the tree lol Should be damn good tomorrow am.
  24. I use my over under 20 sometimes, nice lite gun. Fun too
  25. You pick the strangest things to try and argue... lets play the if game you love, IF it was attacking a pet or person or livestock in NY it would be legal to shoot. I don’t know the laws in the Dakotas but I am willing to bet you can shoot a critter that is trying to eat you. I wonder if chef has gone back to camp yet or is he still laying low waiting for Dec to stop looking for him.
