  1. I use antiperspirant on my feet, learned that on here actually. Keeps them from sweating. Spray on and go. Works every time and I work in the elements. Matter of fact I’m about to clock in and feeeze my but off now!
  2. I’m working so who cares lol. I’ll be out Sunday but really look forward to late season so I can still hunt and track. We don’t do that early on because of the other hunters, don’t want to spoil their hunt. Ill see how long I can sit in one spot Sunday, I’m betting 1hr then I’ll be bored to death. The big decision is what gun to use.
  3. Need to be a member for the depot, not sure if I still have my card or not. Plus that place doesn’t offer that great of deals honestly.
  4. Amazon, just one example. We got a deal on pre cut/one end sealed bags last year. https://www.amazon.com/Vacuum-Sealer-Bags-Roll-11x50/dp/B072DXQVKQ/ref=sr_1_25/135-2629462-9632816?ie=UTF8&qid=1542143330&sr=8-25&keywords=food+sealer+bags
  5. Golly gee that doesn’t look like any where near 75% in the Schoharie area. I’m shocked, I mean he has a degree.
  6. Not the only barometer but a big one. ARs are an opinion based social issue, not a herd health issue but fellas like you try to act like they know it all by dropping “degrees” into internet posts like that adds some type of importance to your opinion. (It doesn’t). Really we have gone over all of this countless times and nothing changes by trying to force it. Have fun flexing your brain.
  7. It would have been easier just to say you made it up or pulled it out of your butt.
  8. One example then I leave. Yesterday a landowner told us that this other hunter was there four days this past week and never saw a deer. This is in an AR zone for the record. My brother and I went in mid day and managed to see 10 doe and a good buck. ARs didn’t change what he saw or how he hunted. Sometimes it’s the hunter not the law that make the difference.
  9. Ars do not do anything to change the health of a deer herd. Our herd is healthy actually, @95% of doe are bred. I don’t care about the rest of your opinion and neither does NYS. Sorry, that is a fact.
  10. Now I see why you come up with off the wall numbers like 99 pounds for a bb. Next time use a string to wrap around the chest, pull tightly, then measure the string where you marked it. You ain’t snuggling up the measurement fella. Congrsts on the kill.
  11. Had a good day #fromtheground #stillhunting 11 doe 2 coyotes 1 bobcat at 20 yards 1 3.5yr old 8 that was close to getting it but wouldn’t stand still long enough. Considering I have only hunted 2 days I’m happy, I cannot wait to change my work schedule.
  12. Caffeine is the only thing that keeps me going and sometimes it’s hard still. I work 2a to whenever and sometimes go in at midnight. Luckily I’ll be on days soon, can’t wait.
  13. I met a big fella from Virginia recently and he was asking another guy where to get a good meal. The second guy said “what do you like to eat?” To which the VA guy replied “Chickens” and that was all he said, in plural form. Chickens.
  14. This one is big enough for wolc to seal a whole but hole shot bb. https://www.webstaurantstore.com/ary-vacmaster-vp734-two-chamber-floor-model-vacuum-packaging-machine-with-34-seal-bars/120VMASVP734.html but seriously I want a vacmaster next time around. Our food saver is old and does not handle continuous use well at all. Ex butchering and sealing 100 chickens is a pita. Ask me I know. Lol
  15. We got a way better price on multiple style of Mucks mid summer straight from Mucks. Picked up boots for the whole fam and then some for under $100 I think. Dicks “sales” are usually BS.
  16. Why don’t you and your mangina stay down by the city. I don’t think the woods is a safe place for you. I bet the Catskills have cell service. Stay there. Heres what you do, tell people exactly where you will be hunting. If you don’t return they can send in the search party. Or don’t hunt alone. Problem solved.
  17. I don’t go and go after Woodcock and grouse instead. No crowds, no dummies.
  18. I would go after Woodcock instead, in a good area your dog will have far more natural encounters than any released pheasant will ever offer. And flight birds offen do not fly far when flushed which present more opportunities for a dog to smell what’s going on. If he hasn’t been introduced to a big mean pheasant with sharp spurs that may be something to consider also. Have you introduced the dog to gun fire in a safe way?
