Astorino picks a running ,mate.

if Astorino is a Republican who gets elected in downstate, in Westchester county so close to NYC, then he has to be a good choice and there has to be great reasons for electing him. -

also bubba is right as long as an anti-gun political figure is in office he or she will push toward no guns in existence. what he said is the obvious next step. also you won't be able to bring ammo into NY either is another that might be coming. that along with chipping away at the deficit to fund the NYSP system will cause ammo prices to sky rocket and become hard to find. no ammo... people who aren't so trigger happy might just sell their gun or two. it'll be clouded with things that seem reasonable to many but with hidden text in there like I mentioned that hits us like a ton of bricks. -

If I was standing in front of you I'd shake your hand. standing around, waiting to go vote won't win this election. Astorino needs a lot of help being known and thought about. There's a huge reason Cuomo never says his name or dodges discussing him. It's a long standing proven tactic in politics. Cuomo changing this tactic is the worst thing he could do, now anybody listening to him knows Astorino is there and acknowledged as a running mate. this is one of the most things that pisses me off and loses elections. it kills hope and puts the Governor on a mountain top. Nothing personal but if it's truly pains you, then you shouldn't be saying this. it's ok if you think that. when someone asks you though if you think King Cuomo will fall, you say absolutely!! He's reign is going to fall and NY will once again be the Empire state and not the state of an Emperor. Your voice can be a catalyst for change, so use it! Be clear and concise, but not repetitive and others will listen to what you're saying and follow suit. A voter who votes might be just a sheep. A voter who votes and has a voice commands a legion for change. -
you're going to spend more money for a bitz or jig that you have to buy clamps separate so it depends on how much you want to spend, but you don't necessarily need a left or right helical dependent on whether you're right or left handed. I use an EZ Fletch and it works good. you're doing all vanes at once too.

I don't know your setup or see you shooting to correct anything or see if you even need to correct anything. few things i'll comment on. first your 1" tear high and right is a little too much and can be corrected. however, I've seen someone shoot a 1"+ nock high and right when I took the bow and shot a perfect bullet hole right before. 0.5" and under is much less to worry about. most times I've seen a high right tear with a right handed shooter it's due to draw length being slightly too long or are pushing the string into their face to anchor. from your owner's manual you should be able to figure out what the draw length is set to. I've always had good luck taking finger tip to finger tip wing span and dividing that number by 2.5. then taking wing span minus 15, then divided by 2. then take both those two numbers and average them. round down to the nearest 1/2" and that's your draw length. Tim Gillingham, who knows Goldtip arrows and is a great bow shooter, has told me to paper tune at 5, 15, and 30 feet, which has worked pretty well for me. make sure you're target/paper is chest or shoulder height. another thing, your pinky finger touching the stabilizer seems very wrong and odd. the edge of the bow grip should run parallel to the life line on your palm. your knuckles will be at about 45 degrees from horizontal with your wrist somewhat low. one trick to get your close is grip your bow with your pinky and ring fingers closed up, then let them back out once your grip is set. last, even with an untuned bow field points can be shot and have a point of impact close to the same. shoot well and you won't see as much corkscrew but shoot with poor form and it'll helicopter to the target.

Good to see you made it in there without bumping him. Well done and congrats

What machinist said

Don't press the string into your face, have a death grip on the bow, or punch the trigger. Basically shot well enough. If you shoot halfway decent your arrows won't corkscrew that bad. When checking vane clearance make sure they look like they will clear and check the timing of the rest. It should lock bck in the last inch or less of the draw cycle.

You're fine if you have a 100gr point on top of what you said. Plus your bow should have a 6.5" brace height or more. If your point is heavier or your brace height shorter then you're under spined and need a 340 shaft.Brace height isn't an issue as I missed that you have an elite hunter.

Guess not many pattern their gun?
-
Congrats to you both
-
Not sure if the barrel length of 26" is causing the pattern to be blown a little.
-
Yea I mean it could be better but it's not bad at all I think. I ask because some had said it was not good.
-
Congrats sounds like a good bird.

Congrats

Yea I've had not much luck with a crow call yet.

You always hear people say their guns pattern well but they leave out some details. I haven't exhausted testing patterns by any means but one that I'm ok with is the one I'm using now: 132 pellets in the head and neck of a standard HS Turkey head patterning target at 35 yards. There's 77 pellets on the left half and 75 on the right half of the 11"x11" target. I'm shooting 1 3/4 oz of #6 hevi-13 shot, from a 12ga Benelli Supernova with a Pure Gold ported turkey choke. So that's 37% percent in the head and neck. 78% on an 11" x11" paper target. like i said at 35 yards. what does this compare to what setups others the rest of you have? this okay, good, great, or amazing? lol I'd like to know.

nice pictures too.

I got a Field & Stream 24 gun fire rated dial combo safe on black Friday for $350. especially if you've got scoped guns take your number of guns and then double it. start there. I've got a 24 gun with half a dozen guns in it on one side and shelves full of other important stuff on the other half.

Geography, henned up, or you calling basically told him you know where he is and are coming to him. Some cluck too much and too much like a putt. Gobblers won't come over because they think you're telling them it's a bad idea. Instead they gobble to let you know hey were over here head this way

Can't say I've got just one everything in my vest has earned the right to stay there. Most are locally made NY calls. Only other call is a Primos will Primos diaphragm. Easiest blowing and controllable mouth call I've used, with three reeds for rasp to boot. Sweet cedar box. Sweet cedar diaphragm. Mountain hollow double sided slate/glass call. And some others. All from NY.

Congrats! Good job taking her. Jakes or not double and fun is a great thing.

Nice bird could've been older than three but I'm not real educated when it comes to aging birds. Congrats!
