  1. Strange I'm not seeing the bucks I've seen in previous years either here in Ulster. I thought someone in my area poached them
  2. I stopped eating squirrels when I found out they were high in cholesterol
  3. Might be time for a stake out. If you have an ATV keep it nearby hidden so you can follow them to their homes. I know of others that have ATV tresspass problems and it seems law enforcement doesn't do much about it
  4. The ATV vs Hunters conflict is like the Cattleman vs Sheep ranchers conflict of the 1800s.
  5. I have a couple of those broom handles that you twist to make longer or shorter and just adjust them from the ground to the center hub on the top inside the blind. This helps with snow load
  6. Biggest problem I've ever had were ATV riders. We have a couple in the area now who must have removed the exhaust systems on their junk and these things are loud as hell. Ruined an afternoon hunt for me already this year. They are too lazy to run those things early morning, so your usually OK until mid afternoon.
  7. Ever think of using periods in your sentence's. No offense but your posts are hard to read.
  8. Went out yesterday and got soggy. Today I have the AC on in my house? Gonna give it alittle rest until we get some decent bow hunting weather
  9. Got it yesterday and just read my first cards with it, very very nice.. thanks!
  10. In the near future I'm planning on making natural blinds on my property. Pop ups are ok if well brushed in also. Just something about a ground blind in an open area that just doesn't cut it, for me at least
  11. Freakin Chinese rubber. Bought some tires at Harbor Freight for a hand truck recently and the smell smacked you in the face every time I walked in my garage
  12. Sometimes I wonder why I ever left LI. Great fishing right at your doorstep and the bucks keep getting bigger
  13. Adirondacks hunting is tuff. I've hunted there and the Northern Catskills for years. Great for scenery but unless your a local the deer are few and far between. I've hunted southern Ulster for the last 10 years and have killed three times more deer than I did in 30 yrs of the northern mountain hunting. Enjoying scenery gets old. Just for the record I did find one of the biggest shed antlers I've ever seen up in the north woods. Had to be a 150 class or better buck
  14. Presidential alert. The only alert I need from that Imbecile is he resigned
  15. Time for cameras in all your vehicles
  16. As a side note, maybe you should look at yourselves for a single moment and you just might find why young folks aren't getting into this sport and have zero interest in carrying on the tradition
  17. I've been on this site for years. Not much in the in the last few yrs. But this folksy hoxie guy who calls himself Doc has anything but wisdom. He's a self appointed crusader against the use of crossbows in NYS and the way I see it he's an anti hunter who thinks everyone has to hunt just the way he does or stay out of the woods. He'll never miss the chance to spew his opinions with an endless line of 11 paragraph drivel that no one could ever possibly spend the time reading. Him and others like him are the reason that forums like this are flopping like flounder. Pretty sure this forum has about a dozen or less members now. It used to be a pretty good place with a ton of participation, but not anymore.
  18. Sounds to me like another ornery old coot who hasn't been part if the real world in decades. 20 something's living in mansions and tooling around in brand new cars, Really? Take another belt of bourbon and go to sleep so you can dream up some new fantasies old man.
  19. Nice, I haven't seen that one yet. It actually has a good review rating on Amazon. Thanks
  20. I had one a couple of years and ended up throwing in the wastepaper basket. The thing was awful slow and the thumbnails we're microscopic. Any recommendations. I will be using it for an Android/Samsung phone. I have been looking on Amazon but see most of them have mixed if not horrible reviews.
  21. Millionaires live in NY for a reason. And they are not leaving. NY has more millionaires than the entire east coast combined. Hell in just Queens and Brooklyn alone people's real estate values have increased at record numbers. Many neighborhoods in NY have produced millionaires with just the value of the homes they live in. Take a look at real estate values anywhere in a 90 mile circle of Manhattan.
