  1. Ahh, splash it around, if anything it might spark a rutting bucks curiosity
  2. I love this state, but we have been taking a friggin beating on the weather
  3. I could not live where those things are
  4. Give it a go, let us know how you make out.
  5. Probably best off minding your own business. Is it really worth the trouble it could bring you.
  6. And for the record I don't even think I've ever heard Gomer or Goober use "Dang"
  7. What is with this word "Dang". I'm hearing more NYers on NY hunting and shooting sites using Dang?? Dudes we are friggin New Yawkers! Yea Yankees, men of the North Woods, we're the ones that kicked ass in the civil war!. Are yawl trying to throw a southern flare or something into your posts. Do you realize you sound like Goobers? Why not also throw in "Shazzam", lol. Please don't go into a bar in Bensonhurst using Dang, those Brooklyn Italians will examine your head. You don't hear southern boys walking around saying "Fagetabowdit" ,do you? We are Friggin New Yorkers, be proud! LMFAO!!
  8. Men's insulated Muck Boots at 59.95 are pretty hard to beat. Free shipping. Gonna grab me a pair
  9. Hey, I'm giving Doc a gold star. He managed to get his thoughts out in less than 14 paragraphs.
  10. Some awesome sales coming up at Dicks on Black Friday. I bought my TC Venture there at a Black Fri sale for like 50% off. I still regularly go there for ammo deals. I just bought a couple trail cams and Boots there. Not owning ARs with high caps is something I'm fine with. Too many innocent people/kids being slaughtered in this country because some nut can walk into a Dicks and buy an assault weapon with high caps..
  11. Man of my own heart. Brandy and a Cohiba for me
  12. Oh and don't take advice from anyone on a public forum on how to install a wood stove
  13. Go to a good wood stove dealer like North Star energy in Middletown NY. Talk to Holly or the all know guy in whatever store you go to. Bring pics of where you plan your install, and dimensions for wall thickness, roof angle/pitch etc. They will set you up with everything you need and some good advice along the way. It's not cheap and anyone who tells you that Home Depot sells a kit for a couple hundred has their head up their chimney. The pipe you need from you ceiling on out is close to a couple hundred per four ft section. It will probably cost you a couple Gs. But if the building or people in it mean anything to you it's worth it. Also if you don't wanna give your insurance company a reason not to pay you in the event of a fire, then do it to code. Also if someone ever dies in that cabin as a result of a wood stove not being installed to code,,well you know.
  14. When Coumo came out with the safe act I thought it was the end of the world but I've come to realize there's more to life than being able to own ARs with hi cap mags. All in all NY is doing pretty good compared to other states in healthcare, education and income. Cuomo's 2% prop tax cap has been a life saver for many. When Pataki was Gov taxes on my primary residence we're going up 1000 a year, no joke. In the years Cuomo has passed the tax cap my increases have been miniscule.
  15. Never saw the reason for all these new calibers. 223, 308, 3006 and a few others is all I'll ever need. I can kill a deer , woodchuck, or any game with my small choice of calibers just as dead as anyone with any of the new rounds that have come around in the last 10 years. I'll never have to scrounge or pay thru the nose for brass. Ballistically there is so little difference between many of these new configurations I just have to wonder.
  16. One day when you grow up you'll realize you can't do that
  17. Ahh dogs, in a burning building I save the dogs first. That's pretty much where I stand on them
  18. I've done it. Then just give it a couple days at least to let things cool before hunting it
