  1. I will post a pic of a 6 point buck with both sides still on dated 3/7. My wife and I did see another buck, much bigger antlers, on Monday. Both sides still on too. I’ve yet to find a shed so far. Hopefully this weekend!
  2. Thanks! I do have about 40 arrows that a guy sold to me for a song, but if they are still around at the next GTG I will put them to use!
  3. Watched ep 1 and will look at the second one. Too much other good stuff to watch. I am way behind but we just finish The Mandolorian on Disney, that was very entertaining.
  4. I don’t do this but a friend of mine buys the WalMart batteries with the 2 year warranty and every 2 years he gets them replaced - whether or not they are bad.
  5. Wow Al! I am in CNY too and my fruit trees are not even at green tip yet.
  6. Happy Birthday, hope you make a million dollars today!

    Turkey loads

Where are you located Cory? I can spare a box or two.
  8. I’m not sure where Dicksville is but setting plants out in a week or two is way early. You need to wait until all danger of frost has passed, usually mid-May or later in Central NY. Maybe a little bit sooner in southern NYS.
  9. Larry, I’ll take it from you, sending PM

    Beer

That milk might be older than the beer!
  11. The space before the sentence period gives it away. But the spelling is better.
  12. Sounds like a sensible plan. Try not to be scared, you are making the right decision by staying home. Stay healthy and active.
  13. Wild turkey Schnitzel, trying to empty out freezer before the season starts! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. I am just learning this as I am only an apprentice instructor. Depending on where the class is taught, there may not be a suitable place for a live fire range, or the host facility may not allow live fire or ammunition on site. (Schools, etc.) Unfortunately, not every class can be taught at a gun club with enough room for 30-50 students. The DEC does provide dummy guns to show proper carry technique and the main parts of the gun as well as the different types of firearms. Hopefully each student does have a mentor that will show them more of the proper gun handling. One problem with the online only certification is I believe it leaves too much room for someone taking the online class for someone else. And as Grampy mentioned, there are other field training covering tree stands, blood tracking, etc. It is well worth the effort and time for new hunters. Thinking of the situation today because of the Coronavirus, I can’t believe that all the schools using “online instruction” will be nearly as effective as Instruction in the classroom.
  15. MayTom, glad you are on the mend. I remember that you made some really nice oak frames for holding turkey beards. Have fun with the new shotgun!
  16. Thanks everyone., Tough week to celebrate a birthday. Or celebrate anything. Better days ahead for sure. I do have a nice rhubarb pie to look forward to later tonight! My favorite!
  17. I had one too. Have not found a shed yet..... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  18. Thank you everyone. My sister passed this afternoon with her husband and twin children with her. She was 56. We could not see her because of the coronavirus issues. We all saw her on Sunday. She has been fighting cancer for 10 years. No more, she is at peace. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  19. Happy birthday to the funniest guy on this forum! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
