I’m in it for the food only...

I slow cooked a very large neck roast all day yesterday in a crock pot for pulled BBQ venison. Adding in Dino BBQ today and serving with potato rolls, pickled red onions and cilantro at a friends house during the game. I heard there is going to be a fresh walleye fish fry there too, which I am sure will be the highlight of the menu!

Lots of them available on EBay. Just be careful you are getting real vintage and USA made and not a Chinese knockoff. I bought another one just like it, but obviously a knockoff. It is very very sharp, but I’m not sure how the blade will hold up under use. -
@2012_taco, how do you print the stuff onto the wood? Is it a decal you print out or buy? Thanks, look like nice gifts and projects.

Happy Birthday, Turkey sounds real for dinner!

Thank you everyone, just got back from the funeral and after lunch. Told some stories, shared some laughs and got through it ok. Now the hard part begins.

Earlier this week, one of my best friends passed away suddenly at the age of 70. This is a pic of our very first hunt together. He was the guy that got me into bird hunting, Brittanies, and Quebec fishing, plus he was just a wonderful friend. Heading to his funeral later this morning and am still processing this sudden loss. I've lost a big part of my life and it will be hard for me. His sons all lived out of town, so I felt like I was sometimes his standin son, and best friend too. RIP Big Bill. Thanks for that tip, just read it. I enjoyed it. I wonder if he took over and brought in new quarry for himself?

Nice rig Rob, Congratulations! They always say that the two happiest days of a boat owners life are the day he buys a boat and the day he sells it! But I have never believed that, all the days in between are what its all about!

Yes, I still have it! PM me for information

LOL! Why not? This fat guy does!

I would be interested in the cook books if you are willing to split them up.

How much for just the locations?

Watch out for Bill in a dark alley - if he doesn’t get you with his karate chop, he will slice you with his blade! -
These are my relatives from Sicily circa 1950. Supposedly going hunting. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I bought a second one but it is not vintage or US made. It is razor sharp, not sure about how it holds an edge. Has same leather sheath too. -

I just bought this off Ebay, a vintage Schrade. It needs a good sharpening but I like the size of it. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk -
A lab would be a good all around choice, especially for the in home and behavior with kids, etc. I’ve had two Brittanies and love them both as hunting dogs and as dogs with kids. They are medium size, very friendly and easily trainable. They are high energy and will need a lot of activity. They have great noses in the field and will retrieve, although retrieving is not their strong suit. Usually they just lay down next to what ever you shot. My dog is past his hunting days, but I would seriously consider getting another one at some point. PS: GSP is German Shorthair Pointer

I did not ask for my wife’s hand and I do regret that. Her Dad and I are very close, hunt, fish, and even worked together for 10 years (post marriage). Honestly, he had 10 kids, I’m not sure he minded, but it would have been a great sign of respect. My son in law did ask for my daughters hand, which I figured was coming sooner or later. The only thing I did say is: We are happy for both of you and you have our blessing. I was honored that he asked me before he asked her. It’s a good sign your future son in law thinks enough about you and your daughter to ask for her hand. I hope they enjoy a great future together.

I quit Facebook over 10 years ago. I have not missed it. This is my "Facebook". I did subscribe my wife's Facebook account to the Oneida Diehards account, but I hardly ever look at it. They were all on IceShanty.com, but there was more arguing than the helpfulness found here on this website. I do miss Snagger's posts and photography.
