    If I had proof of who did it, I would contact the Sherriff's Dept....Of course, that might work better for me, because the guy who takes the hay off my property is a Captain at the County Jail....

    I have developed serious infections twice from dressing game without without gloves, once from cleaning squirrels and once from butchering a caribou....The one from the caribou would have ended my last Alaska hunting trip prematurely if one of my partners had not brought a bottle cipro just in case...Since then I carry a Ziploc full of cheap latex gloves in my vest or my pack, and use them every time I dress, skin or butcher anything....

    Some are better than others, but the worst I ever had was much better than going without....

    Don't need any ammo, firearms, or clothes.... However I spent several hundred dollars on fuel, tractor parts , seed and fertilizer for my food plots, not to mention a couple of thousand for property taxes and upkeep for the property... PLUS quite a few hours of my time, which could have been spent fishing or sitting at The Legion having a couple of frosties and flirting with the barmaid...

    No...and I'll eat damn near anything...I've eaten woodchucks, coons, beaver , snapping turtle, and I would try possum. but I ain't eating no coyotes or skunks...

    ANOTHER damn Jarhead......JUST KIDDING, even though Marines did their best to make my life miserable as a sailor, I appreciate their service !! I can understand why they were such miserable pricks.. When I was snuggled up in my rack, not having to get up until 7:30 or so, those poor marines were out doing calisthentics at 6:00 AM every morning...

    I haven't carried a shotgun for deer since rifles became legal here in western NY... In fact I sold my rifled, cantilever slug barrel to a member of this forum a couple of years ago.. One less thing that I'd never use again taking up space in my gun room....In fact, probably at least HALF of my guns fall into that category, but they are somewhat harder to part with than a barrel, mostly for sentimental reasons...Hehehe...

    Trust me, my friend, it is....I have done 5 DIY hunts in Alaska... Only age and a fixed income keeps me from doing another one..

    It is a fisher....Martens are about the size of grey squirrels...At tleast the ones I saw while elk hunting out west were..I never saw one here in the east..

    No problem.....You pay my way and I'll set us up with a good hunt..!! Just keep in mind you will have to pack all the meat...I'll do the cooking and happily butcher and bag the moose, as long as you carry it back to camp, or wherever the boat or airplane can get to it..

    In Alaska there are no shooting hour restrictions....At one second after midnight on opening day, it is legal to shoot a moose.. However, it IS illegal to shoot big game with an artificial light.... SO if you want to go moose hunting in the middle of the night with GRIZZLY bears roaming around, have at it...Just don't shoot them over a light...

    Some fool was littering...I found them floating in the middle of Seneca Lake and picked them up to preserve the pristine environment...
