If I am going to walk to a stand that is of any distance I always bring an extra pair of wool sox in a plastic bag,when I get to the stand take the wet ons off and replace with the dry ones. I always wear sock liners also.

X2, I have been saying this for the last few years.Very few deer compaired to 5 years ago when the handed out Too many doe permits and they realy slautered them by me.The should have made it a 6 point or better for the bucks not 3 points on one side also. I am outside on my property almost every day all year except for days like today and I have only seen One shooter buck an 8,a spike and a very little 4 that is a little more then a year old.Before I always saw 4 to 6 shooter bucks every year. I am looking for a larger blind then the Dog House, I had it lasted 4 - 5 years standing in one spot 24/7. I a wooded area, the first thing that broke was the roof supports from over a foot of snow sitting on it. Fixed that with some old left over tent poles. The fabric turned a reddish color, then started comming apart.I deep sixed it this spring. I looked at the Doubble Bull blind, Brotherhood and a Field and Stream all around the same price. Thye Field and Stream is the highhest at 80" which should be good for a standing shot with a bow. I have only seen pictures of all, none in person.

Years ago on private property a friend was stalking a deer parellel to a road about 10 yards in, He was wearing a blase orange coat and hat. A shot was fired from across the road and hit a tree in front of him. Now the deer he was stalking was 30 yards in fron of him.

Just went into the kitchen to wash my soup bowl and I look out the window walking on the road from the other side here comes 36 turkeys in a row and they walk right into my property.That figures.

Years ago hunting on private property, 9 shots come from the property next to us ,4 fellows hunting on about 2 acres ?. about an hour later one comes to where we were hunting and asks if anyone has a doe permit the do not intend using. we go over and look at the deer still alive shot in the leg and the nose.One of our friends went over to the deer with his knife and dispached the deer, put his tag on it,the property owner of the 4 hunters asked him to take the deer and told the 4 fellows to pack up and leave one of witch was his son.

I had one like that last year, always with his 2 sisters, less then a year old with around 1" spikes he was very agressive, this year he is a little 4 pointer and rubbing just about everything.
