  1. That sucks bubba. You tried to do the right thing and still face idiocy. I always think that owning your own land to hunt would end all of stress about worrying if someone else will be where I wan to piston public land. It sounds like private land owners have just as many, if not mor, headaches...plus the cost! I ain't right.
  2. Only you can prevent forest fires AND putting a bullet in my arse!
  3. If yo hav an arrow nicked and you release on ... You are still hunting...no?
  4. Now is the rule you "just can't shoot" or "you can't have a loaded weapon". I only ask bc when shotgun hunting there are times when people I hunt with (not me of course!)would load their guns before entering woods (still dark) so not to have the loud metalic sound of loading the gun right a the prime time.
  5. Well done.. It's amazing how much that last deer shakes a pretty sizable tree. Cool sparring match as well.
  6. Disrespect...I don't see it but I like the look of them hanging by the back legs a bit better. By the neck looks too much like a noose hanging, tongue hanging out, eyeball to eyeball with those checking it out. If its a nice buck though, I want that rack front and center of attention.

    let off %

Not its the right draw... I checked it at my shop and i even had the sensation at the range with the guy who set up my bow. It mostly happens when I OVER-relax or my form breaks down or when. Punc the trigger...usually happens when I have not shot for a while..it's ALL ME! But I'd rather blame the equipment!
  8. Good luck...call in the dogs!
  9. That's my kind of advice DTG3k
  10. Does anyone know anything about a land to bow hunt near pleasantville near rte 117 by bacon hill road? Someone recently said that it is open to bow hunting but I can't find anything on-line and I am not familiar with the area. An info would be helpful
  11. Hell I smell my neighbor's cigarettes through my closed window and our noses suck in comparison to a deer's. sure having the wind right helps by any foreign mell must raise awareness ofth game
  12. Congrats on a rare hunting success story. I'm sure the image in your mind is much better quality than a cell phone hot. Glad you got to enjoy that experience.
  13. Just because WE have been out there two weeks early does not mean Mama Nature is goin to get those deer romances started two weeks early.
  14. Sent an email about 5 days again...no word ..surprise surprise surprise
  15. Any more sightings of the elusive baby bear-hog-tailless coon-fisher?
  16. Looking good! Great find even though the satisfaction of the kill was missing.
  17. That there is some funny stuff G&R...I do not subscribed to the idea that an deer that runs a good way is a result of shooter error. These are some tough critters and the variables are high when it comes to killing with arrows

More important than the let off is the feeling of a "solid back" (i dont know if thats the right term) after it is let off. Sometimes I feel like the bow wants to go on its own. That I don't like
  19. I just grabbed the Simmons for this season...$103 after mail in rebate which the promptly sent to me already. I like it. Very vanilla..4x mag which I wish was better but can't complain due to the price. I really only bow hunt and most areas in hunt are in thick woods so not any need beyond 30 yards which is my shot comfort anyway.
  20. Rev ev...tough bird to dress and prepare for table.lol.
  21. And if you cut those two, he would have found a different place to stand! He'll slip up! Hang in there
  22. Are these recipes in the recipe section..you guys are killing me right now! I'm starving!
  23. I reall enjoy the process of following a blood trail and the whole gutting process. It may be as a result of the few deer I have helped with but for now I am as hopeful for my partner just to get down and track as I am waiting for one myself.
