  1. I used a ladder and taped papper to the foot holes, shot in between them. You should be tuning you’re bow even with mechanicals or are loosing penetration based on arrow flight.
  2. For what it’s worth I shoot 65lbs 8.8 gpi arrows like you. About 425 finished arrow weight. incosistent penetration with mechanicals, some passed through some didn’t, resulted in a ton of broken arrows and even a lost deer. now for my fixed Magnus black hornets, 100% pass throughs nothing changed on setup. with you’re setup it get a fixed head.
  3. Cabelas peppered jerky seasoning for ground meat here, want it hot add pepper flakes. $7 makes 3 5lb batches. Brats I use bearded butcher blend seasoning and get a 5lb bag every other year.
  4. I use pine soap made by a local lady, no issues.
  5. My Walmart had most rifle rounds, not a big selection but at least some.
  6. Target sports usa, most things are priced high or out of stock the last 3 months.
  7. Let him grow if you can! Would make an amazing mount.
  8. Don’t matter how many acres you have, it’s what acres and what neighbor hunters.
  9. I know they had the recall also, i wouldn't mess with that and would go to a pse archery shop.
  10. A deer in rut taste no different that one not to me. I have never removed the tarsals either.
  11. Had a property up there for the January hunt, pulled into it twice, my buddy and i stepped outa the truck, shot 2 each, and left within an hour both times. Unfortunately the Liberal neighbors had a fit even though we were legal and we left.
  12. Not this year with what i have on cam, wouldn't blame anyone who did tho.
  13. in got 10 between PA/NY and i plan on filling them all lol
  14. I use onx and have nothing but positives to say, never used hunt stand. $22 for all of NYS or $70 every state with discount.
  15. Big news, i didn't exactly like her rulings but appreciate her service.
  16. Last cam pull for here, ilL be there in two Fridays midday. Tons of activity 2pm-dark. Scrapes are starting up, no rubs.
  17. Still together, pics every other day or so, every single pic behind my house is daylight, which is the normal for some reason.
  18. First off watch and listen, make notes of landmarks/ take photos marking them from your stand. A lighted Nock makes a big difference see where you hit and a fixed head means my arrow is almost always laying there after pass through. Make sure your broadheads are shaving sharp now as this helps also. Good hits 30 mins track, liver hits 4-6 hours. I haven’t gut shot one yet thankfully but would wait along time, 12 hours or so. None of those times are set in stone, weather and temperature can change them. As well as predators. Get help from a female or child, for some reason they pick up blood like it’s nothing. At least my wife and son do.
  19. I shoot a couple arrows a week most of the year, August I really practice drawing and holing for up to 5 minutes, sept I only shoot 1-3 arrows a day. I’m sure I could shoot the day before the season and go kill a deer but I like to be over prepared. I’ve already gonna through my hunting pack 3 times reorganizing.
  20. You’re better than me, I woulda used them.
  21. Set up a treestand in my backyard and Zinged a few few.
  22. not sure how you did it, but mines silent, i can jump up and down and get no noise. i wrap the bunji around the straps also.
  23. I've climbed a few trees in my yard now. Positives- Light as heck, packs well, QUIET, open shooting for bow! Negatives- it is a little more awkward to climb with vs summit, seat is less comfortable, but not bad. Ill probably only use this thing 1-5 times a year anyway.
