  1. Got a rear-tine tiller? Great - hope you don't mind clearing tines of roots frequently. And kicking up rocks. Friggin rocks..
  2. I often consider camp home away from home. So do the gnats, horse flies, deer flies, skeeters ... but hey.
  3. http://www.pathfinderfishandgame.com Safe act questionnaire form - responses will be brought to Albany 2.28 & Safe Act info page i've listed various petitions to repeal and rally-bus(es) sch.
  4. Well this is yet another reason why I hunt. 1" loin cuts wrapped in lightly pre cooked bacon, drop of liquid smoke per cut optional green, red, yellow & orange peppers Sweet onion portabella mushroom These are always a hit, the mini-k-bob version of this is 1 cut per - just as good.
  5. Good thread - I have 2 cams still out because I haven't been able to get up to the property in a month. The goal is to pull them this Sat before gametime which means a 3 mile walk. One WGI & a SpyPoint.
  6. Not that I would hit the site from work and all, but - if I did as the speed is 10x faster then home it loads dog slow on IE. It also goes through watchgard, waits for all the advertisments to load, facebook plug ins etc. IE at home ok, hangs on the facebook crap alot. Try firefox with a plug in called NoScript. Site loads 3x faster then in IE.
  7. Some alcohol may be involved.
  8. Taco Bell. Hey, the @ss breath from someone eating Fritos still tops this.
  9. Speaking of ground venison I picked up a grinder die with larger holes at BP, fit an older grinder but damn it if it was to thick for the cap to hold it in place.
  10. Not trying to sound germaphobic but one reason I hate going shopping this time of year - your in the store and hear people sneezing and you just know your going to walk through one of their clouds.
  11. As taxpayers, why don't we go down to that station and claim some of the guns we just paid for?
  12. Perhaps I'm not so out of my mind on this - here's a read from the backwoods home magazine forum about plowing dirt roads.
  13. Have been thinking about getting the access / seasonal road plowed to get up to camp. Just not sure if it would be worth it. I'm sure it's been done, but anyone who has a plow probably would think I'm out of my mind. That and it would be about a mile & a half plus after this last storm probably 12-18" on the ground up there. Plus it's a dirt/gravel road so I'm thinking the plow can't be completely down - which probably would strain the hydraulics. Guess I'm starting to miss camp already.
  14. @ 7:20 a lesson in how to frame a cheap hunting box/blind
  15. Am I the only one who noticed the functioning WGI camera? Cools pics btw.
  16. You all want to know what's rediculous? - Fritos. The most obnoxious stinky noisy 'snack' ever. People who eat them makes you smell like dog breath & @ss.
  17. Closing weekend NZ 6k I was up to camp and enjoyed seeing the tracks, fresh sign etc. There was at least 6" on the ground. It's all gone now. Usually about this time of year it starts to get doubtfull to even get up there with a 4x4. The plus side? - Going to sneek in some extra camping time, & moved the cams to try & get a few shots of post season activity before I close the place up. And maybe, the wgi cam won't sound like a wwII battle tank when it takes pics. But yea, used to be able to count on snow for SZ muzz.
  18. TreeGuy; an unfortunate deal - alright what happened bites. At some point in time I hope this gets wringed out so you can remember the hunts on `em like you'd like to.
  19. 6pnt. w/.243 rem. 100 gr sierra gameking. Heart shot, he jumped & went about 30 yards. So I guess we'll see the whole anti .243 / 20ga / 30-30 soapboxers around about the same time next year? Happy hunting.
  20. That'll get your blood pumping.
