Not an ethanol fan. One way or another it screws small engines. Not to mention I can count on crappy milage. I use Stabil in the 40-1.

I truly miss currants & gooseberrys.

source Governor Cuomo through the New York Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) issued a statewide 90-day residential burn ban effective through October 10th. In a press release issued by DHSES on Friday, the Governor stated "These conditions should not be taken lightly," Governor Cuomo said. "The potential for disastrous wildfires is present in all areas of the state and we must do whatever we can to prevent fires from occurring. The state will continue to closely monitor the wildfire danger and we will deploy whatever resources are necessary to protect New Yorkers should a critical situation occur." The same press release urged NY residents to follow these precautions with outdoor fires: · Refrain from starting any type of outdoor fire and in cases where a fire must be started, take extreme caution. · Be watchful and keep a close eye when grilling outdoors. · For those who smoke, make sure a lit cigarette is completely extinguished. · When camping, use existing campfire rings when possible and keep fires small. · Scrape away litter, duff, and any burnable material within a 10 foot diameter circle. This will keep the campfire from spreading. · Never leave a campfire unattended. · Drown the fire with water. Make sure all embers, coals, and sticks are wet. Stir the remains, add more water, and stir again. · Use a cooking stove instead of a campfire to prepare meals After an unusually mild winter, portions of the state has received only 25% of its normal rainfall, very dry conditions exist throughout the NY. These conditions are worst in Western and Northern NY. With any wind, even a small spark can become a dangerous wildfire very quickly. <snip> DEC will issue an emergency regulation today implementing a statewide ban on residential brush burning through October 10. Violators of the open burning state regulation are subject to both criminal and civil enforcement actions. In addition, the Department of Environmental Conservation will suspend all burning permits previously issued. A moratorium on new permits is now in effect through October 10."

A few years ago stress was taking my teenage daughter out shopping for clothes. Now its going through a divorce and keeping japaneese beetles off my apple trees. A little 3-D in the backyard helps.

Cool pics! -
How about a good 100 acre skeeter nuke. Anyhow I haven't moved one cam since spring but the another twice since I got it. Going to move it one more time back to the store if the last go with it doesn't work.

Do you have any stands that are close to each other?
Fantail replied to regulat0r's topic in Bow Hunting
Most of my stands are about 100 yards apart, but I'll hit a few close by spots with the climber. -
Drive down to a local Tractor Supply. They get trailers shiped in sitting on big foam blocks. I take 9 of them and stack them 3x3 held together with a rachet strap. They will stop a broadhead. And last a while, shoot one out and just pop a replacement back in. The place I go to has pallets of them stacked up in the back and are glad to get rid of them.

Apparently there are bears all over the freaking place

Very cool pics burmjohn. -
Terrible, just terrible. A boat that size is only going to have so much gear as in vests. You would think before they left dock someone would have come to their senses with children onboard.

Yeah that's been in circ for a while. I'm thinking if I was that guy I could befreind a nice fed doe by herself now and then, take a good double sided knife - behind the windpipe & veins & out. Nobody hears nothing just some blood, washes out.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but imo it's not stupid. I don't look forward to spending a day fixing a plot, did that recently, I hope. Then there was last year - well nevermind. Corn is an annual yes? From what I read it's a heck of a thing to get rolling. Maybe someday, right now I'm not willing to risk trying it. The thought of 1/2 acre or more of corn on the lease - man, that would be like the cleavage of plot work.

Very nice! Does anyone else pick out stand trees when you look at pics like these?

Bucks are looking good. That stand - uhmm..

There's room for them in 6k.

No respect = no discipline. -
You got me there, fluffed up the new plot twice over. Didn't pack it down. Perhaps the new growth somehow couldn't dig in. I don't have a roller, it would be another heck of a thing to get one back to where the plots are by hand. I was thinking a month has gone by, there's been a few decent rain storms, and I did the same thing to the expanded part of the clover plot & its growing slow but ok. Maybe there's time to reseed the new plot with a 50/50 clover-chicory mix.

I use the broadcast spreader available at tractor supply. Has a shoulder strap. http://www.tractorsupply.com/groundwork-reg-broadcast-spreader-approx-25-lb-capacity-4400707
