  1. It's good to plan ahead and get some work done early. I don't own a quad, so getting equipment back to where the plots are has been a pain and chews time, alot of time. I have been working on the old/main logging trail a bit here and there, enough so I can use the Jeep & a small utility trailer. It's been all hand work for now & still is to a point. Wheel barrel helps out. Some dirt, gravel, rocks, first I have to get it there, a few buckets / bags at a time. Once the trail is usable by Jeep I'll be in a position to double the work effort & save hours upon hours.
  2. That was designed to be a humorus compliment.
  3. Antlerpornbytes has flagged your post.
  4. Season's comming to a close but a back-up bow just in case never hurts.
  5. Everytime I got to a monthly meeting at the club, it kind of reminds me of the WGI cams I have. See at the end we have a 50/50.
  6. Neat stuff. The last pic kinda looks like a huge boar with antlers.
  7. Cooked up a Tom I got in the spring, turned out good and freed up some room in the freezer. To good hunting & keep warm this holiday.
  8. Smooth bore or rifled barrel? If it's smooth bore try the buckhammer slugs, rifled (twist) any decent sabot should work.
  9. Very cool - I'd say that cam functions nicely at 23 degrees.
  10. Good Hunting everyone Here's two from the season, good doe & a 6.
  11. Nice buck, bet you dream about this one.
  12. Funny how your wgi is taking black night pics, one of mine is taking white day pics.
  13. Well start up / break in on plots is the expense but as far as low maintenance goes a perennial such as a clover mix w/chicory is a good bet and marginaly shade tolorant. If you do up the clearing / work next year late spring early summer & plant, next year - spring before your neigbors jazz is attracting deer / turkey your clover plot will. Btw - keep the tent catipilars off the crab trees & maybe spike their drip lines as well. good luck.
  14. 7M - Twice now even though I have a 7M dmp I've passed on a doe because a 6 / 8 trailing her. And twice now I couldn't get the shot on the Buck either. Damn it.
  15. Plenty of good ideas here - at camp next to the access path it's a few yards before any trees, so I took a few scrap 2x4's and used a circ saw to cut a point to sledge them into the ground. Sometimes you run into rocks oh well.
  16. Surf was up today in fact. Did a day run to a favorite spot, all the grey squirrels were fat, size of small cats I thought. About an hour before sundown I spotted some movement. Passed on a doe, good size 6 maybe an 8 was on her tail. Doe practicaly walked under my climber/spot then cut left, and don't you know the buck takes a shortcut on the other side of brush - no shot. He had his nose up checkin the wind at times. f@(& thems the breaks.
  17. Oct 1st about 5 pm she tooled in behind me I got a clean shot at 20 yards in a lane I cleared out just in case. PSE Lightspeed radialXweave Magnus Buzzcut Good hunting
  18. Not enough pto to start on the 27th this year - but I'm off to camp tonight for the next 17 days. Slammin`
  19. Trees from Walmart. I mean I've bought some apple trees there but what?
