That deer is an absolute tank! It’s body is as impressive as the rack, if that’s possible! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Couldn’t agree more. Early ice this year I drove 2hrs only to realize I forgot the battery for my fish finder on the charger. I never unloaded my stuff and drove home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I also have some pretty good spots on their route into/from town but I’ve never been able to get them to come in on an afternoon hunt. Mornings I do very well, I’ll be interested in how you do! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ATV Snow Plow Advice
Buckmaster7600 replied to BizCT's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
For those of you that like using a wheeler with a plow, what did you use before going to the wheeler? I can see where they beat a shovel but I absolutely hated using the wheeler to plow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
A deer or bear will never know the difference if shot with a 7mm-08 or 243, 20grains and 1mm isn’t enough to ever make a noticeable difference. If you don’t reload I haven’t saw 7mm-08 on a shelf in a couple years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This will be my 21st year, it’s a donation to a good cause. I also put in for New Hampshirite and Vermont. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don’t think skull size is a tool for aging deer. Deer like people have varying head sizes just like foot sizes chest etc. No different than antlers, I have a 5.5yr “tooth sent out and aged” old buck from my home farm that scored 64” as a 5pt, many other areas he might have gotten a pass thinking he was a 1 or 2 year old by antler size alone. He weighed 199 on Dec 1st. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think overall hunter numbers are down but big woods hunter numbers are up. I see more people and trucks in the big woods every year. It’s not a bad thing there’s plenty of room and deer. My best guess as to a reason is because it’s easier and safer now with newer technology. The biggest outdoor boom has to be ice fishing! I’ve seen more ice fisherman this year than ever before! Again I think technology has made it easier and more comfortable and that makes it more appealing to the mass’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ATV Snow Plow Advice
Buckmaster7600 replied to BizCT's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
I plowed for 2 storms with an atv. I couldn’t sell the plow fast enough! Went back to using my small tractor. That short of a blade at any angle makes it feel like you’re not moving any snow. I see a lot of people doing it but I’d almost rather shovel! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I don’t know why I haven’t gotten the notifications for this? I forgot I posted it up here but it’s still available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
There are all kinds of state land to the north of greenfield. I wouldn’t waste your time scouting unless it’s with a muzzleloader during the early season. Crowds won’t be an issue! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Haven’t been married in a long time but every girlfriend I’ve ever brought that’s exactly how it went. There is one way to keep them from talking… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There is a purpose, deer management and food for family and friends is why I shoot them. Maybe if I ate more I venison I would get more excited but I doubt it. To me there is just little to no challenge in shooting them therefor little to no enjoyment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m honestly jealous of the guys that can still get excited about shooting a doe or small buck. I don’t think my heart beat goes up at all shooting a doe, I get the same excitement out of butchering a cow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hunt alone, other than our guys weekend at camp. I enjoy those few days but not really the hunting. I like to do my thing my way and having someone else along seems to always get in the way. Sometimes it would be nice to have someone help drag but that’s about it. Usually nobody has a clue where I am other than that I stayed at my camp, for safety I bought an inreach although I have very little faith in it working when I need it to.

What makes you the (self-proclaimed) better hunter?
Buckmaster7600 replied to DoubleDose's topic in Deer Hunting
Choosing a career and lifestyle that affords me the opportunity to be in the woods everyday for 3+ months straight, persistence and being a decent shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I’ve killed around 100 deer and don’t feel like I’ve killed a trophy yet. I have some memories I cherish more than others, some I worked harder for etc. but don’t feel like I’ve ever killed a trophy buck. To me a doe Isn’t a trophy but everyone is different. I can honestly say that when I kill my trophy while tracking I’ll probably quit deer hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Are used ATV prices as bad as trucks?
Buckmaster7600 replied to moog5050's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
It’s like a anything else, new ones cost more to make it makes used one worth more. That mixed with limited supply and it makes for a sellers market! I have 100$ down payments at 12 can am dealers waiting for a specific package 1000. I started my search in April, still haven’t bought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
