    Back home on the couch. Thought today would be stellar after the deer parade last Sunday when I saw more deer in a day then I usually see all season. Saw a doe and fawn this am and a lone fawn in the evening. Guess the bird #$%& wasnt lucky. Also heard alot of gunfire in 4k in the afternoon. Congratulations to everyone who connected this week!

    I have the Bolt XR on my Barnett Gamecrusher and found basically the same thing as you Core. Haven't chronoed it but it supposedly shoots 330fps. I found siting it in at 20 that the next lines were only an inch maybe two high at 30 and 40 yds. I was happy with that. I have shot it a few times at 50 yds and it seems like it is higher than the inch or so at 30 and 40. I don't plan on taking any shots farther than my bow range of 30 to 35 yds with it. I feel very confident that if I do my job the crossbow/scope will do their job at the 20, 30 and 40 marks.

    I am sure everyone around knew about her.....which makes it 1000 times worse that someone just walked up and shot her in the head. Hunting is supposed to be a sport. What is the sport in that? How many kids knew about her and had to learn that this POS shot her? What a disgusting story.....sorry...I'll get over it....

    I feel sick to my stomach after reading what @LET EM GROW posted.....WTF is wrong with people. He would have been treated the same as a person that shot my dog. And nobody would want to shoot my dog.

    I have a Single Pin HHA. I really don't have much experience with anything else. I had a multi pin site at first and I hated it. I never even hunted with it before getting the single pin. I have the single pin set at 25 yds while hunting and just compensate my shots. I won't shoot past 35 so compensation is very little. I only change the yardages when I am target shooting.

    Our lease is in Rensselaer County and we follow these same rules. Someone always kills a beauty and we get a couple of nice 8's every year. Glad to know there are others around us doing the same.

    Regular Killzone. I wasn't even aware there was a crossbow specific NAP Killzone. I have never seen them.

    Other than my tags, I have purchased a tree umbrella that I have to return and some new ratchet straps and burlap for my stands. By far the cheapest year for me in years. I haven't even picked up evercalm or scent elimination spray and I really believe the evercalm helps.

    We wouldn't need these stupid laws if people had common sense. There are times when I hunt in the woods and it is dreary and overcast and I can't see squat 15 minutes before sunset. Doesn't mean I am going to sling arrows at shapes because it is still legal time. On those days it is down right dark 30 minutes after sunset and nobody should be shooting regardless of their state laws. There are plenty of other times when it is a bright sunny day, I am sitting on field edge, I pack up my hunting stuff, climb down and walk to my truck and at least half an hour has passed since sunset and I can still see fine. The government hasn't figured out that you can't legislate common sense into people that don't have any.

    I use the NAP Killzones in my crossbow. They fly perfect. Haven't been fortunate enough to kill a deer with the crossbow yet

    Whenever I remove my release. I attach it to my bow. That way I cant forget it unless I forget my bow

    I have had a great morning. Have been seeing deer since first light. 8 doe. 2 fawn 2 spikes and a good sized 3 with bumps for brows that really pushed his luck with multiple shot opportunities.

    I was never able to sit very long. I would get antsy and move to another place and then just end up walking around. I love being in the woods and seeing them wake up but staring at the same trees for hours gets old for me. I started bringing a book to read and that kept my attention. Read a paragraph or even a few sentences and look up and scan, go back to reading etc. Now I do the same with my phone. Have deer snuck in on me....yes but if I wasn't keeping myself occupied I probably wouldn't have been there to see them. I try to focus for the first hours in the morning and the last hour at night and I have all I can do to do that.

    Cold with a whipping NW wind here in 4k. I am freezing. I didn't dress for this wind. 4pt and a spike came through at first light
