  1. That stinks....great looking plots! Was there standing corn or beans nearby to help them get through the winter?
  2. I gave him $500 for it, and I'll pick it up next weekend. The 150 acre farm is going to be for sale soon if anyone is looking for a place. It's in Chase Mills. They haven't priced it yet, but when I hear I'll post it.
  3. Yes, it's a pto pump. I just got off the phone with the guy and he said it's never been stored outside. His Dad had it since it was new. I offered him $350, but he came back with $500. He said it's been out there for a week and a half, if it's still there in a week I can have it for $450. Now I'm wondering if I'm crazy to risk losing it over $50?
  4. I came across this sprayer yesterday and the guy is asking $650 for it. That seems high to me. What do you guys think? It hasn't been used in 10 years, but was used yearly until the farmer went to a nursing home. The pump has been sitting in an oil bath since.
  5. Very nice! Any recent pics? Love to watch the progress of everyone's hard work!
  6. Definitely let it dry. I've had rain after a couple hours and still got a good burn.
  7. Awesome looking plots, bushes, and trees! Nice work!!
  8. Wow....scary stuff! Glad you got out of there ok!!
  9. Just curious.....why do you think a religious organization would be anti--hunting??
  10. We are definitely way to easy on poachers in this State.....we could learn a lot from Ohio on this.
  11. On our 120 acres, we've dedicated 20 acres as a sancutuary, have done a lot of tsi in our 25 acre woodlot, plant around 5 acres of foodplots, have planted and fenced 12 apple trees in several locations, and don't shoot any bucks smaller than 6 points.
  12. Not too clever, but I'd much rather be outdoors than in, and my name is Tom.
  13. I start every year right after the season closes. I got a real good start on next years firewood cut and stacked, I'll finish it up in the Spring. Definitely lots of tops for the deer to eat this winter.
  14. I like to play racquetball and tennis....does that count?
  15. Here's a picture of the #2 deer taken in NY in 1991......out of the Brasher Forest. (19,000 acres)
  16. Wow, that looks like a great marriage!
  17. I don't think "funny" is the right word. Irresponsible is more like it!
  18. Man, you guys do some nice work! I live in an old farm house too, and I'm glad I do. It gives me an excuse when things don't fit like they should. I could be doing stuff in a brand new house and it would be the same for me.
  19. Is that code for you saying you're a gigolo? ???
  20. Here are a couple shots of Laszlo. He's a Kuvasz, (Hungarian sheepdog). Unfortunately, he went through the ice in my pond two years ago and I lost him. One of the worse days of my life. He was a great friend!
  21. I retired from the USCG in 1998, now I conduct ship inspections for the DOT on the Seaway.
