  1. With a snout like that, I'll go with anteater?
  2. Jeanine Pirro had an interesting interview/conversation with Sebastion Gorka last night -- Gorka is the top anti-terrorism expert at the U.S. Marine Corps Academy, BTW -- discussing Clinton's call for "the sharing of more European intelligence" in the face of Islamic terrorism. Apparently that's her 'solution'. Dr. Gorka nailed it right on the head when he sort of chuckled and said that no one in Europe is going to share their intelligence with a U.S. official who has repeatedly proven to be untrustworthy in this war. Whether it's Clinton or Obama doesn't really matter. The intel agencies often don't share it with their own leaders because of concerns about 'loyalty' and how their info will be used. Think about the consequences of that basic lack of trust among allies as we shuffle down this road. Even Pirro was a bit taken aback by the gravity and veracity of Gorka's statement, and they are two very bright and concerned individuals. I hadn't really thought of it in those terms either. It's scary. That's why the Western free world is currently losing, folks. Divide and conquer at every level. Keep that in mind when you go to vote in November.
  3. Nice looking pie, Grow! My grandmother used to make a lot of different vinegars: dandelion, plum, rhubarb, crab-apple, horseradish... They pickled a lot of the food from their farm, both meats and veggies, so she knew which would work best to compliment the basic flavors and textures. She did a wicked sauerkraut that was actually closer to Korean kimchi. A sinus experience for sure, especially with breakfast! She never had a problem motivating a bunch of teenagers to get into the field.
  4. I'm sorry it didn't end well for you, but I had to 'like' it for the positives. Sounds like you had a fun day with the kids.
  5. Same thing here. Burmjohn has a thread on it.

  9. I have a comprehensive theory when it comes to laundry: Dirty stuff goes into the washer and the clean stuff comes out.
  10. When it's a real passion, no, probably not.
  11. A slightly belated "Happy Vaperversary" to you Wooly! I know you switched about a week before I did, and today marks 2 years without a cigarette for me!!
  12. I'm getting to the point where I can hide my own Easter eggs.

  14. Happy Birthday to you! All the best, Phade!
  15. I use PEX 100% of the time now, with Sharkbite-type fittings to existing copper where necessary. My inventory of over 100# of copper fittings recently went to a local hardware store for scrap prices, and my torch is now used only to light my wood stove.
  16. Denigrating people for not immediately going 'all-in' for your cause is not a good way to garner support. I admire Mr Rossi's enthusiasm and passion, and I wish him the best of luck (and I hope he doesn't leave the site), but I don't like being talked down to simply because I don't share his particular passion(s).
  17. No. I have friends who contribute thoughts and ideas. ;-] I don't actually know where this one came from. I thought it was funny. If I find the origin I'll make the appropriate attribution.
  18. Gives a slightly different meaning to the phrase "poached eggs".
