I think the Gander in Coxsackie has a few 20GA auto's in the racks. Pretty much regular pricing. They have a few that are made by the same company that makes TriStar and imported by the same company. They also have quite of bit of 20GA ammo in stock that will work fine on turkeys. I'm sort of glad my Raptor didn't sell, I really like that gun, it's a 12GA but barely thumps and patterns a few different brands and loads great.

Should I take the online archery course for crossbow
DirtTime replied to luberhill's topic in General Chit Chat
Might as well do it now before they raise the price of the online course like the cost of everything else. -
Now that's how you say you've had enough political talk at deer camp!

They will not ship to any zip code that is even remotely close to or part of NYC. But they will ship to most of Upstate.

How to tell Bucks from Does on cam in the spring
DirtTime replied to Northcountryman's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
A buck has a larger thicker head and neck and the neck is shorter. A doe will have a thinner neck, and usually the face comes to a bit more of a point. A does body is somewhat more rectangular then a buck, a buck being a bit more stout and boxy. -

Body shape perhaps if it's in clear view? -
No, it was DPMS. The base Oracle. She changed her mind for now. It just put a bad taste in my mouth. A lot of the local gun shops have made me rethink where I spend my money. I made some calls prior and was treated pretty rudely by 4 of them, it's just getting old real fast the way some shops were a year ago to how they treat costumers now. I always forget about Midway that @Dinsdale mentions below. Always pretty fair prices and solid CS.

Just about everything is out of stock everywhere. Private sellers are buying the stuff up and selling it at way jacked up prices. Just like the last .22lr 'shortage'. You might want to think about trying places like GunBroker or the like and have the stuff shipped if you can find it within reason. My wife wanted an AR and the one she wanted was $449 brand new. We found one place that had a used one and wanted $1200, we walked out. I realize that in this market it's getting to be the nature of the beast, but that doesn't mean I have to feed the beast.

Congrats on the hew house. Pretty nice area you chose.

It appears Winchester will be raising prices on all ammo from 5-18%, components 15%, and primers 25%. If I'm not mistaken, that's the third time in a year they have done this.

I'm not sure how far you want to come north, but if you're looking for a drive up primitive site I think Devils Path may have some that are near water. I know Rensselearville State Forest has a few. Can't say much on how the fishing is in either. There's really not a lot of primitive sites that are meant to be driven too. Also, you can camp in any state forest for up to 3 nights without a permit if you have les then to people.

Thanks again everyone.

Oh look! It's Alex Jones! You have any proof to back up any of this? PROOF! Not you're misinformed opinions. I'm also going to tell you this and I want you to think about it, the next time you feel a need to call people cowards or anything even close, remember the loudest talking jack a$$3s on the web are usually the biggest candy @$$es out there. I already called you on that once, now I'm doing it again. Go start you revolution or w/e you want, just please STFU! I also want you to know people like you irritate me, because when I need tin foil I can never find any because you have it all wrapped around your heads. I'm starting to think papist and all his minions never left, they had this account set up in advance and take turns posting with it. They all had the same MO, talk, spew, invoke propaganda, skirt questions, and when it comes time to nut up they got nuthin'.

Gun Control Bill Headed To The Senate
DirtTime replied to Steve D's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Way to side step the questions yet again. Seems you like to ignore anyone who questions you and your facts. My best guess is as I've already said, keypad commando. Trust? Who in their right mind would trust anyone like you? You've made it pretty clear you would most likely betray any/everyone as long as it suited your own personal agenda. You're the one who needs to think twice here. Remember this, when you make clear you only care about you, then no one is going to help you if you need it. Now go check the stock in your bunker, I think your getting low on beans with all the gas that comes out of you. -
Down the road we'll get another dog. Not anytime soon most likely. Thank you everyone for the kind words.

Yesterday morning we had to put our pup to sleep. She started suffering from so many ailments from throughout her life we didn't want her to suffer any more. Today she would have been 12.

This pretty much sums up 28 hunts last season.

Ya know, that's where I'm torn. I keep going back and forth with glass or double slate. I might make two, one of each. I may also make a few strikers, I haven't decided on that yet. I know I want hickory for one, and maybe rosewood. I have some oak I'm going to use for the handle.
-
Not when your tea bagging the staff. Or getting tea bagged. It all makes sense now. Your still stewing because Eddie banned you a while back, and you had your fellow SENY buddies whine and cry to get you back in.
-
I think I'm going to order the stuff to make a call tomorrow or Monday. I'm going to give making the call with Vermont Green Slate and a walnut base a shot. Probably a hickory or rosewood striker.

The OP of this thread was banned, along with about 10 of his other accounts. Pretty sure he's still around with a new handle though, it's kind of ghostly, even phantom like. He didn't hunt the ADK,s in a pure sense, he walked hiking trails hoping to see a deer. Which is dangerous because people hike those trails he was on all year long.

Late reply here, some of us have far more pressing things going on in life then web forums. So I can't/don't spend every waking moment on any social media. A picture was removed, you didn't like that it was removed, so you went to the Vice Principal. Like that kid in 1st grade who got upset that his hand silhouette turkey drawing looked like a marshmallow crapping out a dragon so the teacher didn't put it on the wall. Sorry man, you cried to another staff member to get your way. Would you prefer whined over cried? I can do that. I don't get why people blame not having anything to hunt as a reason not to go outdoors. I see it more as people can't pry the electronics from their hands. It's begun to crack me up when people complain about their kids having their face glued to a phone/electronic when the parents are doing the same thing. When you get all twisted up over a frikin picture being taken down it might be time to set down the phone and go learn a new outdoor skill. Take the kids with you and make it a family event.
