A 500 + grain arrow is not needed , a 400 to 475 grain arrow is plenty for whitetails , if one is not getting a pass through they need to look at their bow tune and broad heads they are using.

Yep shot for years at the local fish and game club. A new president was elected and basically he’s a gun snob and shut down all the archery event’s 3-d and indoor a few years ago.

I hear ya , contemplated turning the bow down 5 lbs .

Called our local sporting goods shop to see if they were having their league this year, and it’s starting Jan 3rd . I was a little surprised that they were having it so soon buy I got myself and my son signed up . It’s been few a years since shooting indoors so looking forward to it .

Interesting you say that , when we were car shopping for our youngest son the escape was the only vehicle that he had room in ( he didn’t want a full-size at the time ) He’s 6-6 and has tons of room , actually when him and I sit in the front we are comfortable and I’m 6-3 .

I have not used the first lite clothing , but I’ve had really good luck with midway usa’s brand clothing they sell . I have a few articles of their hunting clothing that I can’t say any thing bad about . Just bought a mid weight insulated shirt with extended sleeves and thumb hole that I used as a base layer and was very happy with the warmth on my Sunday morning MZ hunt . Four seasons is the end all be all deer hunter , just ask him he’ll tell ya .

Oh I’m not making it a poor me conversation , as this is not my first year not tagging a deer. It’s called hunting and not shooting deer season, I had encounters with deer this year but as we all know sometimes the puzzle pieces don’t go together and we can’t make it happen. (What good will a few more days do ? ) Well some guys do not or cannot not get time to hunt as often as they want. So just because you made it out a bunch of days maybe others have not . ( Should we let unsuccessful hunters continue to hunt till they get one ?) Again sometimes things just don’t work out and or some have limited days , so why not ? If you don’t want to utilize the extended season then don’t. (And as for a participation trophy ) just being a member on here with some outstanding hunters is enough for me . Oh and just fyi , if I had filled my tags I’d still be saying the same thing.
