  3. I have a mix of ryobi and dewalt and the ryobi s are holding up just as good . And yes the LED lighting is fantastic . Nice job on the wiring too.
  4. I’ve been using the home made Ed’s Red cleaner for years . It’s the best I’ve ever used and 3-4 patches and a barrel is squeaky clean . Cheap to make and lasts forever . https://www.majorsgunclub.org/edsred.html

  6. Wife and I are going this year , first time for us . We’re going up early Friday to sign up and ask questions.
  7. A coworker had shown me some grunt tube’s he started making back in early winter . Well he stopped by today and wow he has perfected his work , I bought the purple hart wood call from him today and gave it to my wife . She absolutely loves it . He has other types of wood too and thought since he’s just staring out I’d give him some free advertisement. Also his girlfriends mom is making the bags for him also by hand . He’s supasgamecalls here’s a link https://www.etsy.com/listing/1186065422/bubinga-wood-deer-grunt-game-call?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=scott+supa+deer+calls&ref=sr_gallery-1-22&organic_search_click=1 He’s also on face book but I don’t have a account . And they do sound great I was very impressed considering he hasn’t been making them long .
  8. Oh I agree with you , that’s why I suggested bear spray and use the firearm as a last resort .
  9. Might I suggest you don’t go for number 3. I know 3rd times a charm but will it be for you or the bear ? A 10mm or 44 or at least a 357 and a can of bear spray might be a good idea .
  10. Look at the bright side , you won’t end up skipping a work out while your moving . See glass half full ..
  11. Really every single hole is a dead deer In your photo .
  12. Yeah but dirty bolt threads and debris make’s me smile when I work on mine.
  13. Well what ever scared him, it scared the rack out of him
  14. It’s only money , you can’t take it with you . And look at it this way at least you have something to show for all that money spent .
  15. Looking forward to some pictures ..
  16. No biggie , we’re all here to learn a thing or two . That’s why I posted what I did . Yamaha actually has a dual clutch set up , there’s a wet clutch in the engine case and then the actual external cvt . Yamaha uses grease in their rollers/ roller channels in the outer sheave on the primary) only manufacture that does ) Basically the big difference between Yamaha , (Suzuki uses the same type of clutch set up ) and your Can am and Polaris is Yamahas and Suzukis wet clutch will disengage and stop the outer sheaves from rotating when one lets of the throttle . Can-am and Polaris cvt sheaves will slip on the belt and continue to spin.
  17. Yes as long as one’s particular set up requires this, now on my Yamahas the CVT is a bit different than on a can-am or Polaris . I guess what I’m saying , there’s lots of diy videos on cvt maintenance for every machine just make sure you find a good resource for your particular machine and do the preventive maintenance.
  18. Great advice and just to add to it , a yearly belt and CVT inspection should be done.
  19. I absolutely love my Ricochet plates, full belly , A -arm and foot wells . Can’t tell you how many times they have saved the bottom of our quads .
  20. No not yet , in order for me to pull the trigger it would have to be - Charging as fast as I can fuel now / plus charging stations as numerous a gas stations , cost has to be comparable to gas vehicle and I would like to see how electric cars hold up in our salt belt after 10 years. Now a hybrid truck , if I was in the market to buy a new truck I’d be looking hard at one .
  21. Have fun and good luck on your search. Looking forward to the pictures also .
  22. Thanks , Honestly there’s really nothing wrong with mim parts if its done right , Ruger has been doing it for years and you rarely see a failure in their pistols. But on my RIA I actually had the hammer break shooting it in the summer pistol league last year . I sent it in for warranty and they fixed it but I knew in the back of my head I just wasn’t trusting that it wouldn’t happen again especially since it’s a 10mm . I really like the gun so I figured why not upgrade .
  23. Thanks , I know some may say why not just buy a higher quality 1911 to begin with. I’ll have just under $800 in everything when I’m done , that includes the gun, Wilson combat parts, barrel , the springs and I bought 2 - 40 cal magazines . So not bad for a dual caliber pistol I think . Plus it’s just fun seeing what a little diy can do to improve a guns performance .
  24. My latest project is swapping out the mim parts in my 10mm . I ordered the Wilson combat Bullet proof tool steel heat treated hammer , sear and disconnect and was pleasantly surprised they dropped right in no fitting required. Since I have it apart I’m de-burring and polishing the trigger bow and the bow tracts in the frame and some other factory parts . I ordered a trigger tract honing stone from Brownells to do the frame . I also ordered a rock island 40 cal barrel so I can shoot 40 from this gun. One would think it would be a 100% drop in , but it was fitting really tight in upper barrel lugs to slide engagement . I broke out the caliper and started measuring the barrels and found the 40 to be a couple thousands longer than the 10. So I grabbed a file and a sharpie to mark the back of the barrel hood and started slowly filling and checking fit. I got it to fit just perfect . Funny thing is look at my picture of the 2 barrels mines on the left and look how smooth it is compared to the factory 10 barrel. Looking forward to taking this pistol back out and shooting it when it’s done . I had over a 6 pound trigger pull before I started so curios what I’ll end up with . So now just waiting on the stone and as soon as Midway has free shipping again I’ve got a wolf spring pack waiting in my cart so I can swap recoil and hammer springs to shoot both calibers .
