Nice myself ,wife and oldest boy will be hitting the Pen-York league hard this year. Wife and I used to shoot 3-d a bunch back before our boys got involved in sports so now that they a grown we are going to start shooting more again .

Is that a magnatec or mt sport ( I killed a bunch of deer with my magnatec ) with the built in overdraw shelf it would put the biscuit to close to the fletching. Any other bow with out the built in over draw should be fine .

I am right with you when it comes to feathers, seems people are quick to criticize them except the guys that have shot them for years. Were the smart ones .... ok I use the 91% or better isopropyl alcohol to clean my shafts and I have very good results with superglue gel, but for last few years I have been using the bohning feather fletch tape with a drop of glue on the front and rear of the feather.

I try hard not to get personal on any forum with another member. but dang uptown redneck I cant figure out if you really are that ignorant or if you just like getting under peoples skin, i was a hell raiser when I was young bet even THEN I knew to not mix a good time with firearms or anything with wheels.

If you know where and when you did your courses you can call dec and they can replace them. I tried but they could not find me so I ended up retaking my gun course over again with my youngest. on the plus side I got a 100 on my test . But as others have said if you only hunt ny it's no big deal .

a few recommendations - go to 3 or 4 shops and have them measure your draw length. even the best bow in the world wont help you shoot well if your draw length is wrong. since you are brand new you should consider buying from a shop, most shops do not like working on used bows and if they are a quality shop they should tune and give you pointers on shooting your bow. buy a top dollar release there is no difference between a great trigger on a gun and a great trigger on a release it will help you shoot better.

Wife and are going to remodel our kitchen this winter and hopefully the bath and laundry room also, kitchen definitely. I want to get that done so I can do my spring project of clearing more lanes, putting up at least 5 more ladder stands moving 3 and setting up 5 trail cameras this year on our lease. So what's everyone working on?

Yep what chas0218 said. we usually go every other year, a lot of guys will say one can't see it all in a day but you can we go early and make a entire day out of it.

unfortunately it doesn't matter what type of hunting one does there are slob hunters all over, the only difference is there's more gun hunters than bow so your naturaly going to see it more. It really is a shame. And yes I will be putting a camera up at the tail end of the season.

FatboyD we are pretty much in the same boat as you , we got our lease late sept last year . I have learned a bunch this year on how the deer are using the land. Tons of deer and have had opportunities and a few missed shots by my son and wife . Next year we should have a handle on our lease and hopefully have a good year. -
well I plan on giving it a last run at it I am taking this wed. off and will get out the last weekend of regular and last weekend of late season. We gave the lease a 2 week break so hopefully we will get some action.

why not pull a 40 mm scope of one of your guns and see what it looks like on your 270?
