About 20" in the Albany hilltowns. (hard to tell with the drifting) Wind is really picking up now and temps are falling. Grandson came over and helped me today, so clean up wasn't too bad. Will be out in the wind chills tomorrow to take care of what drifts in. Watching football now with a Crown and Seven, to ease the usual aches and pains. Go Saints and Chiefs! Nice having a storm when it's not a work day!

I'd be more impressed if he set it off with his balls........

Went out to eat with the family. Light fluffy snow coming down pretty good. Roads are a bit slick but not too bad. Probably a couple inches so far here. Weatherman says up to three inches an hour overnight. May even get some snow thunder at some point. Pretty cool!

Nice pack at a good price! I got one for Zach.

Bring it! I ain't scared! Not our first or last snowstorm! We are a hardy bunch here.

I absolutely despise the Patriots! Bunch of cheating bastids. I actually enjoy watching their faces when they lose. Which is not very often. I give Brady and Belicheck credit for that. Together, they have built arguably, the greatest dynasty in NFL history. And both are certain HOF inductees. Chiefs will knock em out this year though. As I giggle like a school girl, when the final seconds tick down.

101-Year-Old Hunting Grandma Drops Two Deer with One Miracle Shot
grampy replied to goosifer's topic in General Chit Chat
Way to go Granny! I hope I'm still dropping deer after my 100th birthday! And hunting with my great grandson/daughter! -
Yeah,,,,,wolc got em already.

We had all kinds of trespasser problems including people using dogs. We tried to be nice at first, that didn't work. So we became the biggest pr..cks to anyone and everyone we caught. Had some LEO's hunt the land. Had a few people charged. No big fines, but a pain for them to go to court. Word got out. No more Mr. nice guy Buckmaster. And Those signs may be a big help if they like their dogs as most do.

Happy Birthday!!

They are called PAN FISH for good reason!!! Not too much better than a bunch of fresh caught, through the ice, crappies, perch and sunnies!! Fried up with some hush puppies!! Oh yeah!
-
Swim with giant sharks???? No thanks. I'll stick to deer hunting.
-
Nice shooting!!! The song dogs should be afraid!! Good luck out there!

What would you pay for this snowmobile?
grampy replied to mowin's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
Be worth twelve to fifteen hundred, to an older guy like me. For ice fishing, or to make it to a deer stand on the back side of our property. That's about the going rate on CL for sleds of that age around here. Nice sled though! Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it. -
I'll go with up to 24" in the Albany hilltowns, because of the elevation and updraft from coastal storms here. However, the worst part will not be the snow, but the -20's to -30's wind chills that will sweep in from the arctic region. Got the woolies on standby, to keep the frost off my pumpkin! Typical mid January in these parts.

Any time we lose someone close to us, we lose a part of ourselves too. My sincere condolences to you and his family. Take a moment amongst the tears, to smile, as you recall a fond memory. He'd want that for you. Thoughts and prayers sent.

Centerpoint Sniper 370. Best crossbow in it's price range. You have a great property there! Whoever shoots deer #400 should be giving YOU a prize!!!
-
I'm hoping you are closer than the Weather Channel!!! Especially for the hilltowns. The follow up COLD on Monday, with the high at 4 degrees will be the real eye opener. Whatever it is, I'll deal with it. Just like I always have. No big deal....... I expect snow and cold in January.

I don't do facebook. Got another link?

I was going to suggest CL too. For what he will be using it for, a two wheel drive machine will work. And they don't cost as much as a four wheel drive. A lawn/garden tractor would possibly work for those chores too. And can be found for a bit less money. I have a 1- 7/8 inch ball mounted on my lawn tractor for pulling a small trailer. Works great!

To be honest, I haven't shot it since I got it home.......yet.

Pretty sure I want to go with some lighted nocks on my crossbow bolts this season too. So will follow this thread. My new compound bow is tuned down to around 45lbs. because I couldn't pull 50lbs. with it. So those will be going slow enough to see where I hit. Once crossbow gets full inclusion, my compound bow days will be over anyways.

Way to go TreeGuy!!! Also, thanks for sharing your tips and tactics with us all! Would be great to get together for a hunt sometime! (here, there or both) moog too of course. I've been a bit under the weather lately, so we didn't go out last weekend. Will see what Ma nature has in store for the weather this weekend. (possible big snow storm) Would like to get out there!

Same here. Never seemed to matter at all. Those little bottles have never let me down.
