  1. Of the hundreds of deer I've seen alive and dead in our area, I haven't seen any with warts. If I killed one with them, as long as they didn't go deeper than the hide, I'd eat the meat.
  2. You have already taken the hardest step, the first one! I'm pulling for ya! You can do it!
  3. Unbelievable. I'm speechless. ........it's so awesome.
  4. S.S.S........24/7........365........or your property gets over run with them. NYS should really have year round open season for them.
  5. With the inconsistencies he's had all season, he is still a shankaponomus.
  6. I bought a new to me compound bow. Full inclusion is sure to follow now!
  7. Safe travels! Keep us posted! We're with ya all the way!
  8. Parkey drills the first one, and double doinks the one that counts! My son and grandson are heartbroken. Big Bears fans.
  9. Way to go Paula! Looks like Bones and Otis had as much fun as you! Great day!
  10. Way to go guys! I did see a fox behind moogs house today! Got a couple dirty dogs singing across the road tonight. Hope to get some fur flying next weekend.
  11. Yes. Great day! Love the dog retrieve pic!
  12. Since I'll be there tomorrow, it would be so cool to hunt tomorrow night with you and Treeguy! I know I'd learn something from Andrew. But due to stuff needing to get done, looks like a round trip in a day. But will be out that way again soon! And of course my door is always open too! You and Andrew, will need to figure out who gets the spare bedroom and who gets the couch though......lol Right now, we got lots of yotes sounding off, every night at the farm. Hoping to get after them asap.
  13. The bluff charges by the one buck is so cool! I've never seen that before! Two monarchs battling it out, and no give from either! Really neat video clip. Though I started to get a bit dizzy, with all the camera movement...................
  14. I'm over in the Berne area. They travel quite a bit here too. Whenever I'd hear them at the lake property, I wouldn't at the farm property, and vise versa. About five miles apart. But no doubt there are always a couple home bodys that stick around. My favorite coyote set ups are in a hedgerow, with a field in front of me and behind me, with the wind in my face. Calling to a thick area, where I expect them to be. A decoy out 75 yards away helps keep them focused on something. I like to start with a challenge bark and howl. Go silent then start with a distressed rabbit. This gives the impression that "hey we got interlopers, and they are stealing our food"!!! This works well during the daylight hours for us.
  15. Been following all of your artistic endeavors for quite awhile now. You have so many varied talents Matt. You are truly a world class artist! Your work amazes me to no end. This piece is epic! Can't wait to see it done! I'm thinking of coming to you in May, to pick through whatever you have laying out in the yard, and bringing something home with me. I have a few pieces of your art. And can never get enough! To meet up with you, is on my bucket list!!! Can even bring a shotgun, if ya know of any birds. It would be an honor to share a hunt with you! And a beer afterwards. Birds......................hmmmmm. A turkey carving, at some point would be pretty cool too!!!???
  16. Awesome contest! Congratulations Gencountyzeek! and chefhunter86! You guys really 'sent it' this year!
  17. Built in rangefinder would be awesome for your hunting! Wishing you all the best buddy.
  18. Cool!! Did you even have the fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view???
  19. Thanks guys. I was seriously considering calling my bow hunting career done. My old Mathews will need a new string and cable again this year. Figured with the bum shoulders, and all, it's not worth putting any more money into it. My hunting parther has a newer Bowtech, and keeps telling me, don't give up, get a newer bow! They have a total different feel than 20 years ago. So I saw this today and it got the wheels turning! First, it's from moog! Same place I got my rifle from! He knows bows, and is aware of my capabilities. I respect his opinion big time, I also consider him a good friend. If he says it will work for me, good enough! Will start shooting right away. Start working on getting my shoulders as good as I can get them to be! And will post pic's for sure. Looks like I'll have to kill a few more deer before calling it quits. Deep down, I don't think I was ever ready to give up bowhunting. With this bow, who knows how long I can go! Thanks so much my friend.
  20. Looks like my soon to be 19 year old MQ32 will be relegated to back up! Wow! So excited! Road trip! Thanks Brian!
