Wow.... I've never seen anything like that, and hope I never do. No idea how that kind if injury could have happened on BOTH hind legs??? But talk about a TOUGH animal!! Glad that they put him down, to end his suffering.

We all know this person better than anyone. It's the one who pulls us out of a warm bed, to go sit in any weather. It's the one who strives to be the best with any hunting implement they use to hunt with. It's the one who respects the game we hunt. It's the one who will help a new hunter, or an experienced one, when called upon. It's the one who will openly and honestly share what knowledge they have with others. It's the one who never stops learning, and trying to be a better hunter, and outdoorsman. It's the one who shoots what makes them happy, and is happy with what they shoot. It's the one who is not boastful. It's the one who is happy to see others succeed, even if their goals and standards are different. It's the one who always tries to give back more, than they take, from hunting. It's the one who is at peace, while afield. We all 'should' know this person better than anyone. It's Ourselves.

Just seeing what I have. And what I have to get. To get started. Been looking at alot of this stuff too.

First step is done. I needed a good bench to set up, and keep everything organized. So picked this up at Harbor Freight and put it together today. Very sturdy, with a couple of drawers, bottom shelf, peg board, and a built in light. I love it! Will be perfect. Next step wil be setting everything up this week. Mounting the press and powder measure. Going slow and methodically.

Way to go Natalie! Tell her a BIG thumbs up from grampy!!! That is awesome for the 2nd time at 15! Can see she's a chip off the ol' block. And she is lucky to have such a great coach! By fall, she may be out shooting the coach! She's already out shooting me! Great stuff here. Doesn't get much better than this.

Had some chores to do at the farm this morning. Got some snow overnight. Took a ride to the west side of the property and saw these guy's crossing the road. Good to see we have "some" turkey's that made it through a tough winter here!

I've eaten from at least a hundred Chinese restaurants here in the US. I've probably eaten one of those without knowing it? Meat is meat, once it hits the wok!

I may have to drive three and a half hours, to get some wings and a burger!

I'm for full inclusion. Shoulders are shot, even after a surgery. But it doesn't matter. Full inclusion won't be happening any time soon. Thats just the way it is. When ignorance pervades a political system, charged with passing something they know nothing about. But they sure claim to be experts, on the destructiveness of the dreaded "assault weapons!" And had no problems adding more gun laws in the last session. Go figure. Guess those politicians know much more about guns than crossbows. You for or against, full inclusion of the crossbow? It doesn't really matter. We're all in the same boat here. Divided we fall.......

Now that I think about it, I too, don't personally know anyone, who bought a crossbow, that didn't hunt with a bow previously. And were long time, successful bowhunters.

As a member of Deer Search and United Bloodtrackers, I can honestly say that those numbers seem way off base. Over many years, consistently, we've seen that bowhunters with vertical bows, make up the majority of sorties in a given season. Just sayin.....not to argue. But based on my own experience.

I'll start this off by saying I know absolutely nothing about reloading. But I will start this thread for others to follow along with my progress and results. In the hope it will help someone else get started too. There is already a wealth of good information right here on this site. I will be taking advantage of that! And also asking advice from some members here, who have years of experience to pull from. I picked up the reloading kit from Billdogge tonight. Thanks again Bill! So the first thing I need to do, is get started here.....

Mental instability has no boundaries. Doesn't matter if you are 'off your rocker' and, left, right, male, female, treehugger or hunter. If they want to create mayhem, they will figure out something to use. No matter how many gun laws are passed. Perhaps some day mental illness will be the focus of these senseless acts. Not whatever they use to carry them out.

I'm a huge advocate for full inclusion of crossbow. But killed my deer with a compound bow, during the two week crossbow season. The deer is no less dead, no matter what tool I used to get the job done.
