  1. Don't know anything about African game or Kudu. But that critter he's carrying looks larger than the average whitetail buck. What do one of those Kudu weigh Dan? Not only is that guy carrying that critter out. He's carrying it through the thorn brush too! Good guy to have around camp!!!
  2. Looks like you're dialed in pretty good there my friend!!! Are you hunting youth weekend with your daughter?
  3. Won't work for me either. Don't have facebook.
  4. Congrat's on the new family member! Good looking little feller!
  5. Some nice spurs in that bucket though!
  6. If turkey's could sniff you out like the deer do, they'd be almost unkillable.
  7. I've never seen this before. Always cool to see stuff like this. Great post!
  8. Shoot what you like...... Like what you shoot.......
  9. Shewwww..... glad that's all it is!!! Not some tropical voodoo hex making bucket of feet!
  10. A few bars of Irish Spring soap. Hang some nearby. Shave some on the ground nearby.
  11. Great pic's! Fox are good hunters! And fun to hunt!
  12. Jay, My sincere condolences to you and your family, on the passing of your Pop. You are a shining example of him. No doubt, he was so proud of you. R.I.P. Those are great pic's of a long ago, tough time, and tougher man. A google search should help you with info, I'd think.
  13. Thought maybe I'd get the winter cover off my boat, this weekend. Nope. Not happening.
  14. The real HARD part, no matter what you hold in your hands, is getting within 20 yards of a deer. Trad, compound, or crossbow, doesn't matter.
  15. So, the IMPORTANT question is, what did ya pick up at Runnings Eddie???? The pillow guy, unless he is giving some turkey or trout tips, should just keep quiet anyways!
  16. In our area of 4-H, there has been bears around as long as I can remember. Back in the late 60s and early 70s, You'd catch sight of one every two or three years. They are much more common now days, as we have two or three bear sightings a year. Sometimes more.
  17. That is a beautiful rifle! Glad you finally got some brass to keep her active! I assume you already have the dies to reload the new brass. Were the dies hard to find for that caliber? Have fun making up a bunch of that 222 ammo!
  18. Holy crap! That was an epic battle! And he probably did not die right away. Sad end for a great buck!
  19. Wow.... I've never seen anything like that, and hope I never do. No idea how that kind if injury could have happened on BOTH hind legs??? But talk about a TOUGH animal!! Glad that they put him down, to end his suffering.
  20. We all know this person better than anyone. It's the one who pulls us out of a warm bed, to go sit in any weather. It's the one who strives to be the best with any hunting implement they use to hunt with. It's the one who respects the game we hunt. It's the one who will help a new hunter, or an experienced one, when called upon. It's the one who will openly and honestly share what knowledge they have with others. It's the one who never stops learning, and trying to be a better hunter, and outdoorsman. It's the one who shoots what makes them happy, and is happy with what they shoot. It's the one who is not boastful. It's the one who is happy to see others succeed, even if their goals and standards are different. It's the one who always tries to give back more, than they take, from hunting. It's the one who is at peace, while afield. We all 'should' know this person better than anyone. It's Ourselves.
  21. Happy Birthday! Only the best for you today! Enjoy it all sir! Hope the upcoming year brings you health, happiness, and many smiles.
  22. Just seeing what I have. And what I have to get. To get started. Been looking at alot of this stuff too.
  23. First step is done. I needed a good bench to set up, and keep everything organized. So picked this up at Harbor Freight and put it together today. Very sturdy, with a couple of drawers, bottom shelf, peg board, and a built in light. I love it! Will be perfect. Next step wil be setting everything up this week. Mounting the press and powder measure. Going slow and methodically.
  24. Way to go Natalie! Tell her a BIG thumbs up from grampy!!! That is awesome for the 2nd time at 15! Can see she's a chip off the ol' block. And she is lucky to have such a great coach! By fall, she may be out shooting the coach! She's already out shooting me! Great stuff here. Doesn't get much better than this.
