    Just want to say, thanks again to you all! I received the gifts of laughter and love from family and friends. Even caught a few fish. Couldn't have been a better day. I'm so lucky.

    Thanks all! Had a great day! Fished the Mohawk this morning. Had cook out this afternoon. Couple cold ones tonight with friends and family. Life is good!

    Like it or not full inclusion for crossbow is coming. I've hunted and killed deer with bow and crossbow. No big deal to me. If you don't like crossbows, don't use em. Very simple and no arguments from me.

    We seem to have an abundance of wolf spiders this spring. Not huge but big enough, and fast too!

    Nice, real nice! Looks like a lot of fun for sure. Nikon makes a real nice 22 scope for less than $150. The red dots are ok for close up shooting but I prefer a redicle for a bit further out. JMO. Either way, have fun shooting!

    Sure it's not skunks? Looks a lot like the holes we get at the lake property. And I've seen the skunks doing that looking for the grubs. Treated the lawn for the grubs and the skunks moved on. Well for the most part anyways.

    Welcome to HuntingNY! Sorry but I don't know too much about that part of the state. My best advice would be to just go and get out there! Wherever you can. Weather or not you get a bird will be secondary to the fact, that you were out hunting. And gaining some hands on, boots to the ground, hunting knowledge. And enjoying the great outdoors.Best of luck and most importantly, have fun!

    Trimming hedges, push mowing the ditch out front and weed whacking. Those are my least favorite. But it looks so nice when they are done. So it's worth it! It took a long time, but I finally graduated to driving the tractor and letting the young guy's put the hay in the barn.

    I've made a couple wing bone calls. But could never really get a good sound out of them. Just too high pitched for my liking. But my hunting partner made one that sounds pretty good.
