Getting low on a couple of my favorite soft baits. My wife just asked if I would like to go to the Bass Pro Shops in Utica. Well heck yeah says I!! Leaving in just a bit. She does not hunt or fish but is my biggest supporter of all my outdoor adventures. I'm a lucky man!
Since we'll be out that way, I'll stop at Turning Stone to let her play the Willie Wonka machine for a bit! A win-win day for us both!
These days, just about everything we eat, drink, see and do is reported to be bad for "our" health. I think I'll just live my life how I like and take my chances.
Even if the fishing was just so-so. It looks like a great place and you all ate VERY well! Good times and memories were made! And sometimes it's just nice to get away!
Just a feeble attempt at self depreciatory humor. My point is for me to keep things as simple as possible for hunting situations. That works best for me.
Very informative video. I used the Remington copper sabots for many years when hunting with a slug gun. The were very accurate out of my Ithica. Last year was the first with a rifle for me. I did try a solid copper bullet but did not get as good a group as the Nosler ammo that shot great. Perhaps I'll try the copper ammo again. But will not try to sway another hunter in his choice or vote for another regulation placed on hunters. Also I've been eating lead shot venison all my life. Perhaps that explains a few things!
My grandson plays a double header baseball games starting at 10am. After that a nice backyard cookout. Happy fathers day to all the other dads and grampy's!
