  1. I take quite a few vacation days off to hunt in November. But it never seems enough on the days I do work. My body is here, my mind is out there!
  2. That's pretty cool! But not for me though. Also I wonder if this will go fifteen pages debating what season it does or does not belong!
  3. Welcome! Where do you hunt?
  4. Thankfully you have a good friend. Hopefully you feel better soon.
  5. Another nice find! Way to go!
  6. Congratulations! The first with a bow is always extra special. Nice job with the deer, photo's and the "plugs" too.
  7. I think you have misidentified a mountain lion as a bobcat!.......
  8. Happy Birthday! Hope it is filled with the things you love most.
  9. Savage Axis in 7mm-08. Leupold VX1 3x9x40. Federal, nosler ballistic tips in 140 grain. First time hunting with a rifle. At some point in the season, my old reliable Ithaca Deerslayer 2, Leupold, 1x4, two and three quarter Remington copper solid sabots.
  10. Congratulations grow! Beautiful buck and a great story! Way to go!
  11. You really did him justice . Nice job! Nice buck!
  12. What a stud buck! Congratulations! Way to get it done man!
  13. Hilltowns of 4H, pretty dead today. Some does in the morning and no bucks seen. But got a quarter mile down the road on the way home and a mature 8 crosses in front of me. Back out in the morning.
  14. In the hilltowns of 4H got busted by does this morning, no bucks seen. Different property for the afternoon, no deer seen. Leave the property on the way home a quarter mile up the road a big mature 8 crossed in front of me,heading to our property. Back out to do it again tomorrow. Hoping for better results!
  15. I will be heading out with the crossbow in the morning. Hoping to have blood on the ground at some point!
  16. I have a Barnett Raptor, $350 or so. Got bad shoulders, so when they passed the law, I went and bought it. Didn't want to drop a lot of money if I could only use it a couple weeks. And I wasn't sure if I would even like it. Well, I do like it. Not love it. And it is fun to shoot, and very accurate out to my hunting range of 30 yards. But the scope that came with it is garbage. It is very loud and the plastic bolt retaining spring broke the first time I shot it, a Barnett thing. So perhaps after full inclusion I will upgrade. But for now it is ok, and I will be hunting with it the next few days. Hoping to kill a deer.
  17. Not sure what you mean by that. But I think you know more about the original than I care to know.
  18. Sometimes it's just meant to be! Great buck! Congratulations!
