  1. Unless the land owner is hunting the property himself, the dog walkers will get the right of way. You will just have to deal with it or find a less crowded place to hunt.
  2. Congratulations on the doe and nice tracking job! Must be a bad year for bee's. Hit two ground nests while clearing brush on the new property this past week.
  3. Welcome, nice to have you stop by.
  4. Great pic's of a great buck! Hope to see you in a pic with him soon!
  5. It's "way bigger" than anything we have on trail cam.
  6. What?????........ Oh yeah, wish I would have used ear protection more, when I was younger.
  7. I think all your hard work and dedication will pay off nicely for you in that area!
  8. Congrats on your new bow! I'm sure your anticipation for the upcoming season just went up another notch. Really nice bow!
  9. Congratulations on a nice bull and a dream come true! Just awesome!
  10. Some antibacterial eye drops may help, but I would have it checked out.
  11. There is a lot of hunting pressure around the properties I hunt. The farm I hunt, borders state land. So for me, the closer I am to the thick stuff, the more deer I see. You can't just bumble and bash your way in. You must move slowly and pick your way in carefully, ALWAYS, with the wind to your advantage. I don't go in the middle of the thick stuff, but as close to the edge as I can get away with. This works well especially after the first few days of firearms season. We have some beautiful open hardwoods and field edges. But you will sit a long time before you see a deer during daylight hours in those places. And chances of seeing a mature deer are almost nill, unless you get close to where they are. In the thick stuff.
  12. A few years back, I shot a doe early in the morning. Gutted and dragged her out. Went back to the same spot later that day to look for a knife I had left there. After getting almost to the spot, I see a deer coming down the same way the doe did earlier. Turned out to be a nice 8 point that I shot about 20 yards from where I shot the doe. My hunting partner went to the same stand a few days later and he too shot a buck. So if you see a deer you want, take it. The old saying, don't let a deer go on the first day that you would shoot on the last day, holds true. Depending on the area, you may not get another chance.
  13. Shoot, shovel, shut up. Repeat as needed.
  14. I use the Samsung Galaxy 3 ,tablet. Pretty cheap.easy to use. It's what I use to come here, or internet, or texting.
  15. What a pick up line! "I want to take you up in my bucket to see the lake". grin, grin wink wink!
  16. The old stomp and chomp! Great pic's!
  17. You got a good one! She has the drive and heart of a great hunting dog. Nice pic's.
  18. Great! Now all ya gotta worry about is where are the deer!......lol Best of luck to you this season!
  19. Best of luck to ya moog! Could this be the year of the 30 pound fish and the 30 inch wide buck? That would be sweet! Hey ya never know........
  20. I don't need a number in some book, to tell me that is a deer, any hunter would love to put a tag on!
  21. I'm happy with my Primo's triggerstick bipod. I'm sure you will be too.
  22. As long as you are off the beaten path over there, your stands and cam's should be ok. Not nearly as many hunters there as years past. But even on private land there is no guaranty against theft. Good luck over there on the run. I responded to your PM a couple days ago. Contact me anytime, if I can help ya out, I will!
  23. Was this in the Partridge Run area? I'm hearing of a few good size bears over there.
  24. Gut them where they lay. Most times yote's and crows among other critters will have the pile cleaned up within a day or so. Your scent in the area from gutting the deer will alarm them more than the gut pile itself.
