Nice scouting work. I started scouting this winter for the first time and really enjoyed it. I went to a saddle last week on some state land nearby. The saddle is in the far corner of the state land and i hardly saw any deer sign on my way to it. As soon as i hit the saddle i saw a couple of scrapes and good sized rubs. Then i followed the saddle to the other end and wow was that area full of rubs and scrapes. There were some big red oaks and also some thick young growth and a wet area,beginning of a little stream. I have never seen so much sign in a concentrated area like that,i was floored. I can't wait to set up in there in the fall. I also found some other good spots,but this one was the winner.

I think you should not inoculate until after the danger of frost is past. Also,after you cut the tree,preferably after it leaves out so there is moisture in the log,you should wait a few weeks. The tree has anti fungal things in it that will break down in a few weeks.

They handled it well,the u.s. not so much,unless you consider having the most cases in the world makes s number 1.

The foam on mine got worn away and my fletchings got marks on them from the rest. I had two different shops check the timing on the rest and it was ok. Maybe you got a good one? I have heard quite a few people say that the cheap one is known for bouncing...

Just dont get the cheap hunter qad rest,i had that one. It has no brake and bounces back up sometimes and that is no good. I upgraded to a qad ultra and love that one.

I always wait until things warm up a little more,another week or two here in cny. I never had much luck fly fishing early,except for one year,I caught a couple of nice browns nymphing. Not sure if they were holdovers or wild as they reproduce pretty good in that stream.

Really? I am amazed you never heard of it. So you draw back, anchor and you can not move the pin on the bullseye. Eventually you shoot when you are as close as you can get. Sometimes punch the punch the trigger as well. It is all in your head...

If your bow is set up correctly and you get lots of practice in and consistency in your form you will be able to shoot within inches at 40 or 50 yds. It is no different than shooting 1" groups at 20 yds. I am not consistent enough myself,but on good days i get awfully close groups at 40 or 50.

The chickens dont get the lyme diseased ticks in their bloodstream,the get them in their digestive system. Those are separate and the lyme disease gets broken down like everything else that goes through there.

I don't agree with @mowin on much,but i am afraid he is spot on with the tick prediction. After scouting state land in January when we had a few days of 40+ degrees i picked around 50 ticks of my dog and me. I never experienced anything like that before. A few days ago i went for a walk with friends in some open hardwoods and the dog had 5 ticks had had two on me. This will be the worst year ever as far as ticks go.

Guys,the virus is just about anywhere in the state already,maybe not confirmed,but it is. So the discussion is pointless. The sneaky thing about the whole thing is that you become contagious before having symptoms. All we can do is act like everyone has it and try and be as conscious as possible about exposure,both ways.

Ny saddle hunter on you tube. They have a ton of videos by now,start at the beginning. I knew nothing about it until i started watching their stuff. There are a lot of different options out there,but i like the DRT for its simplicity.

Also,he should have the biggest mouth because last i checked NY has more cases than the rest of the country combined. That is confirmed cases,and those will be up to over 100k by the weekend easily.

So who knew that a worldwide pandemic was coming that attacked the lungs? How can you blame someone for not buying something no one knew we were going to need?
