I use this one...does it all in one call.

You would be correct....and besides who cares what the weather is when you are horny.
-
Good luck to you....I will waiting until the week before gun season to give them a chance to prime and hopefully have a deer tag filled by then.

Very good looking dog!!! Beagles normally don't have to be trained for pheasant. Most that run them start them on their own. I had one that started himself on pheasants and grouse. One thing you don't see a lot of is beagles that run birds. But it does happen. With the pheasant population the way it is he more than likely won't start running them.

I found that by the time I spray all my hunting clothes & equipment that one bottle doesn't go far. I went to tractor supply and bought this 8 oz. bottle for $7.99. The full 8 oz. bottle mixed with water will make a1.2 gallons of spray. I can spray a lot more and more often at half the cost.

Hope everything went well and you are on the road to improving your ankle instability.

Nice bucks...hope those and some of the others around start moving in the day time!!!!

Pretty warm day but decided to do an afternoon sit. Bugs flying everywhere but did see three different bucks and no does. One was a good sized buck with a small crotch rack and the other two were small deer with small basket racks. All were to far away for a shot and two were really small bucks feeding together 20 yds. apart and no sign of aggression. Probably won't hunt the weekend with mid to high 70's in the forecast. To many bugs for me.

The "bait" pile is probably his and he is mad you found it and reported it.

Sitting out today & tomorrow and going leaf peeping.

Real nice one...hope he shows up in the day time and you are there!!

Only one way to answer that one....Hunt legal and give him one of these

That's why I quit taking shots to late in the afternoon. A few years ago I hit one at 4:00 (daylight savings) and tracked him til I couldn't see blood because of darkness. Left him over night because I was confident I would find him the next morning. Went back the next morning, picked up the trail and found him almost destroyed by coyotes. Now I am committed to track them until I find them the same day if possible. Good possibility the arrow didn't exit and until it does he won't leave a good trail until the chest cavity fills up. Good luck...and if you were close I would come help.

Pic or it didn't happen

Sitting out this morning because of wind & rain. Maybe this afternoon after some scouting. By The way did wooly make that??

Enjoy your warm & windy day...Happy Birthday

If he is close enough for a shot go to dicks and buy an arrow that doesn't match yours and put one in his back tire.

Did mine today for the last time...to hot to hunt anyway. Tomorrow the deck gets cleaned, the blades come off, the battery comes out, and it gets put away. Tried the snow blower to make sure and it fired up the first time so know I can hunt on Monday when it is cooler.

hunting without a truck how do you transport your deer
Steve D replied to Chef's topic in Deer Hunting
If I hunt behind my house and get one the method of transportation is atv. Hunting somewhere else without a truck . Like hunting without a gun to me. -
I hear ya...I lost a good coonhound 1 1/2 yrs ago to it. He just couldn't fight off the effects any longer and his kidneys ended up failing. Long drawn out process sad to experience.

Up until this week we haven't had them. I found two on the dog this week. One day one and three days another. She has been on preventative and has still got them. Must be they are moving in and becoming more populated. Haven't found any one me yet and all my clothes are sprayed but I am sure it is only a matter of time

One more time for me...Probably this weekend then the mower gets put away. I don't care if grows up to the windows. I got better things to do.
