  1. Yeah, but now it has butt light! LOL
  2. Now, looking for the Queen's cave?
  3. Being prudent is the key. I've lived in Florida since 1976 and have been through several hurricanes. We keep window coverings handy, and can slap them up in an hour. I have extra propane, batteries, tarps, generator, etc. Food and water are stocked and vehicles gassed up when first mention of storms are made. I have had power go out occasionally, but it is usually back on by the next day. Besides that, the area that I now live in is quite high (for Florida) in elevation at 180' above sea level.
  4. Very nice! Sounds like a great trip. Congrats to all.
  5. Me no drinky coffee. It's either water or tea.
  6. Easy boys, she is somebodies DAUGHTER!
  7. Regarding concrete floors, a lot of folks around here use an acid wash to stain the concrete. It looks pretty cool.
  8. People are going nuts here. All stores are a zoo as are gas stations (assuming they have any fuel left)! I'm in a high area (for Florida) so flooding won't be an issue. Wind and rainfall intrusion will be of concern. We have enough food, water and Bourbon to survive! LOL
  9. Very nice mount of a neat creature. Congrats
  10. Great buck. Maybe 9 is your new lucky number???!!!
  11. Yep, it's an Io moth caterpillar. Has urticating spines all over that will deliver a painful response to handling! Other "stinging caterpillars" encountered such as the puss, saddleback, Hag moth and silkworm moth also deliver painful stings when handled carelessly. Their home ranges vary.
  12. Between the mice and squirrels, the remaining beds in our hunting cabin are shot. We have tried using cheapo air mattresses, but I'm done with those PIA's. I finally found the solution... the Exped MegaMat 10. These self-inflating mattresses are just plain awesome. I had a chance to plop my old bones on one at REI and they are very comfy. Sold... and they were on sale online (reg $229 for $169) for a Labor Day discount. We can now deflate, pack and carry them home so as to not allow the critters free bedding. Now, I'm a happy camper!
  13. I'd suggest the K.I.S.S. theory. Just use the triple 13 you have. Nitrogen tends to be very water soluble and many soil analysis labs don't even bother to test for it.
  14. The "Bob" rocks. I have a Dakota 10 chambered in it. One of my favorites!
  15. Bad year for corn... evidently. Should still be silage though.
  16. LOL. Being a NR hunter, I don't get any permits... ever! LOL
  17. LOL... I needed a good chuckle! Thanks.
