Too late Lawdwaz. These phone calls already desensitized me. Now, I pick up every call and yell "No" and hang up right away.

I got a call recently from them asking for $500. I told them I'm already a life member and with a new born to support, I can't contribute much. Eventually, after talking it down, I gave them $100 donation. A few weeks passed, they called again. I told them I had just given them $100 recently and that's all I can give. "How about "$200 then?"..""No"..."How about $75 then?"..."No"..."How about $50 then?".... A month or so passed and they called me again! This time, I was a little more stern. I said I told them they had already called me, I gave them $100. They called me back again, I told them no and now you're calling me again. I am not giving any more. I expect I will receive another call very soon.

Regardless of how much I hate some of the ridiculous policies or whatever else crap the state (and in my case, the city) has on it, I will always be proud of it. NY is where I grew up. It is a part of me and who I am. For me to hate NY is for me to hate myself or my family. Sure, when I look in the mirror, I hate the extra few pounds that I'm carrying or the fact that I can do certain things better but in the end, I'm proud of who I am and I'm a New Yorker.

Simply playing devil's advocate here: Only problem with that is how to you work around those people who purchased the gun while they were sane but then had a major break down later in life? No need to block gun purchase when gun is already in their hands.

Correction. It's now an issue because middle class and upper class people are dying. Every day this happens to innocent children in the hood, but no longer makes the front page. My SIL is a pharmacist for a major chain and she gets assigned to different locations. In one location, an innocent boy (she estimates around 8 to 10 years old) took a stray bullet to his eye in front of the drug store. We waited for it to appear in the next days paper but nothing.

The moral problem is that only baby seals are harvested. I have also seen videos of unethical means of harvesting these baby seals. I.e, poor shots, hammering them with a club but not enough to kill them, dragged with a hook impaled in them while alive, etc. Saw one skinned while still alive and only the fur was taken. Does this practices still go on or has it been cleaned up? I would have less of a problem if the process is a little more regulated and baby seals are banned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Awesome. I might have to go that route and buy a Timney myself. I filed my form through Remington over 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received the box that they want me to use to ship the rifle. This is just for the shipping box. It might take months to get this sorted out.
