I shoot a 35" ATA bow. Love it love it love it. The only time it sucks is in a ground blind, but once you get past that, they are great for hunting. Every year I have about a month that I feel like I want to get something newer, but then I remember how fast my bow is, and I look at the speeds of the new ones, and they arent much faster in a real hunting configuration. My 2010 Maxxis 35 is accurate, quiet, plenty fast and fits me perfect. It will probably be what I shoot until it breaks and I cant get parts, or they make some significant jump in bow technology. Its getting time for new strings and cables and my biscuit is worn out, so Im thinking I may just break the whole bow down this year, send it out to have it dipped, go through the screws and replace any that have rust on them, put some new strings and cables on and it will probably feel kinda like I have a whole new bow for about 1/8th of the price tag.

I do not ask to have a slip signed unless the landowner requires it. I make sure that I have contact with the landowner throughout the year, which is pretty easy as Im usually doing some work for them, etc.

Yep, thats the one. The whole rack actually fit into a vacuum seal bag. Ill cut it into smaller pieces when I get ready to cook them. I dont have a pressure cooker, so Ill just do them in the crock pot for a few hours, then finish them on the grill. http://www.themeateater.com/2012/a-rinella-recipe-venison-ribs-pressure-cooked-and-grilled/

Thanks! I was surprised at what I got back. 32 packages at 1.5lb each weighed on my accurate kitchen scale. 48lbs, not too shabby!

Why do you clog every thread up with a repeat of your nonsense? We have all heard your deer weight theory and your incomplete bible verses. It doesnt need to be repeated every single time any thread about meat, scales or weight comes up. How about we try a novel idea and keep this thread on track?

I saved one of the racks of ribs from my buck this year to give them a try. Saw a good sounding recipe on Steve Rinellas site. Ive been told by more than one person that they are worth a try. Honestly I think cutting them off and trimming them out accounted for an extra 5-10 mins of time.

I had my ML doe ground up completely. Had to take it to a processors because all of my stuff is packed up ready for the move. The guy looked at me funny when I told him I wanted everything ground up, even the backstraps and tenderloins.

They do. Theres a team on the ground that takes care of them.

Too much work to trim that for me. It goes in the bait pile with the rest of the scraps.

Funny story about that scene. The dogs in the movie were so well trained that they could not get them to touch the food on the table after many takes. They ended up putting the dogs in cages and not feeding them for days. When they did the last take, thats what you see. They also werent supposed to break the screen door, but did. Last year my daughter had a Hockey tournament in Cleveland and we went to the house where they filmed the movie, well about half of it was filmed at that house, the other half was in Canada. We did the tour, which was fun and the guide told us all kinds of stories about the movie, filming, etc. How do you think PETA would be with that happening in this day and age?

So then you speed. Doesnt matter if you have or havent gotten a ticket or if you are running people over, you are breaking the law. Thanks for the clarification.

It works fine in almost every other state, it would work fine here.

I have it happen as well. The local turkey population on each of our farms has exploded in the last 2 years. I havent killed any coyotes or fox there the last couple of years, but the raccoons and opossums have been getting hit by lightning left and right. I think Coyotes take some turkeys when they can, but the nest raiders do the most harm.

Im not though. You said "Breaking the law is breaking the law." Speeding is breaking the law, baiting is breaking the law. According to what you said, its apples to apples.
-
I assume you dont speed then.

Yeah my girlfriend turns it off when it starts annoying her. It has 2 different alarms on it. One is like a doorbell, which isnt bad but sometimes it doesnt wake me up or I cant hear it if the TV volume is too high when Im upstaris. I tried the other sound one night. Let me tell you, it wakes you up alright. It also might cause you to have to change your underwear and its so loud you can hear it at the bait pile with all of the house windows closed. I ended up spending the rest of the night on the couch after the first time it went off. It scared whatever was at the pile away too so it was a double whammy.

Ive had 1 misfire, it was with BH209 in an inline using shotgun primers. It happened due to extreme temperature fluctuations (20s in the morning, close to 70 afternoon and low 30s in the evening when the misfire happened).

Its a cheap wireless driveway alarm. It has a battery operated motion sensor that I mounted on a post 20 feet from the pile, then theres a box with a speaker and lights that sits in the house. It works pretty good except when its windy the weeds near the pile blow around and set it off.

The bunks should be even with the transom or within a few inches
