  1. Not a copperhead. Look at its head, wrong shape. Also the color pattern is backwards.
  2. A properly tuned bow will shoot either design the same. Mechanicals were brought about for guys that dont tune their bows properly. I shoot G5 Montecs, and they shoot exactly the same as my field tips. The Slick Tricks are nice, I had some of the Grizz Tricks, but sold them because I moved over to the Montecs due to them being easy to resharpen with a flat stone. Love them.
  3. Make sure to hold an umbrella above your head to make sure you dont get squashed...
  4. I second the Beachcomber. They have great food. Was just there a couple of weekends ago, though it was more for the drinks... If you choose that one, shoot me a text, I might be on the lake fishing
  5. I use Scoutlook its a great app. I like the fact that I can pop my stand locations in on my phone, and then log in from my home or work computer and put in the descriptions, etc from there. I tried AntlerInsanity and didnt like it as much, but it wasnt bad.
  6. Actually, I have found that the best way to buy a bow is used, but not that old. Ill go try out new bows until I find what feels right, then I jump on Archerytalk.com and watch the classifieds section for the same bow. If you can get the same thing thats a year old, youll pay about half the price for it. Alot of guys buy and sell multiple bows per year, so you might end up with a current model year bow with only 50 to 100 shots on it for alot less than new. I would actually never buy a new bow again. The bow I have now I bought on AT classifieds, it was a 1 year old Hoyt Maxxis. It cost me $400 shipped. New they were selling for $750.
  7. Flextone Echo ER1 electronic caller. 100 calls, dual speakers, rechargeable, remote. Works perfect, great caller to get into predator hunting. $75 plus shipping
  8. Cleaning some stuff I dont use out. Steel deer cart, cant remember which brand it is, only used it one time, and it worked great. Always kept in the garage, never left outside so its in perfect condition. $60 local pickup only.
  9. Because John never made one. The politics section can be for political humour as well as conspiracy theories lol
  10. I believe the idea behind the EAB rule would work kinda like this... One buck rule for the whole state. After you kill X number of does in those 10 WMUs, you would earn an additional buck tag to be used in those WMUs. As far as whining goes, the DEC has not enacted these rules yet, they are proposals, and they are asking for public comment on them. If you think they dont look to these types of forums to get an additional sense of how the hunting public feels, youd be wrong, so expressing ideas and thoughts on things here is not a bad thing to do. Writing your lawmakers and the DEC with these ideas is better yet.
  11. One of my buddys broadcasts corn, has for years and it does great. Seeing how his turns out each year gave me the notion to try it myself this year.
  12. Thats a great article grow, thanks for posting it.
  13. 50lbs of corn on a half acre? Holy crap. I planted a touch heavy at 8-10 lbs because I broadcast. 50lbs must make it so thick you couldnt walk through it lol.
  14. We dont need anymore rain now lol. I actually want it to stop so it dries up enough for tilling this weekend.
  15. I personally talk gross score, B&C goes by net. I dont think deductions are a fair measurement, the deer should get credit for every inch of antler thats there.
  16. Unless you have really high cielings and a fairly large batheroom, you wont do that with any of the good ones lol. They are pretty good size.
  17. Im not sure. I have skimmed through each of them before, but have not read them.
  18. LMAO @ Boones Farm Strawberry. I didnt even know they still made that stuff
  19. For not much more than you spend on your trailcams you can get a good one GPS enabled, live camera feed, the whole 9 yards.
  20. http://www.qdma.com/shop/weeds-of-the-northeast http://www.qdma.com/shop/how-to-manage-native-plants-by-j.-wayne-fears
  21. I can see banning drones for active hunting purposes, but scouting pre or post season? Are you sure they banned it for all use or just during open hunting seasons? The article I read sounded like it was just for hunting, not pre or post season scouting.
  22. We got some rain the other night. Im gonna run down and check the plots tonight probably, just see if anythig is sprouting yet. Id like to see a bit more rain though. I have to start getting the sugar beets in before long.
  23. They open their show with a Fat Albert demo. Its pretty awesome. I believe the current pilot of Fat Albert is the first ever female.
