Sorry to hear that. My condolences. I know how the cancer stuff is, my mom has been battling different occurrences and types of it for the last 16 years.

The reason it looks strange is because the guy is sitting 8 feet behind it. I hate when people do that. For cripes sake, a 500lb hog is big, no need to try to make it look like a Buffalo.

Grand Island Student Suspended for wearing NRA tee shirt.
WNYBuckHunter replied to hunter49's topic in General Chit Chat
Bingo. Its the victim mentality, and its been around for a long long time. Now days its been taken to a whole new level where people use the tactic to further any agenda they have. Hell, Ive seen it be used on this site about certain issues. It is a pretty easy thing for some people to slip into, thats for sure. -
Sorry to hear that Lawdwaz, my condolences

LOL, open up Fast Eddies Bow Shop!

If you have one of the older ones, you can get some of that spray insulation foam and a longer piece of tubing to attach to the can, and add it yourself. You just have to go slow and steady.

I have a 10 Hemi Ram. Average in the summer is 16 - 18 depending on how much city driving I do and if I can control myself with the loud pedal. Highway, it will get 19 - 21 if you keep your foot out of it. In the winter, the average drops, I think right now mine is around 14 or 15 average, but I use the remote start from time to time, and it spends some time in 4 wheel and lots of time doing donuts and sliding around corners. The newer models do better with the 8 speed tranny, etc. If you are looking new, check out the new Ram 1500 diesel. They are the best option out there for mileage in a 1/2 ton at this point at around 28mpg. Pop a controller on there and youll do even better.

All you have to do is take it to a gun shop and do the transfer. The last one I did cost $25 and we were in and out. Ill lock it for you if you really want to though. -
How in the world does anyone not know this stuff? Especially those of you that frequent this site? Oye vey....

QDM Meeting with Neighbors
WNYBuckHunter replied to dbHunterNY's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Again, QDMA is a specific national organization. If you guys are looking to open a branch, there are requirements, etc. You cannot just start a "QDMA Co-Op", but you can start a "QDM Co-Op" anytime you want. Heres some info on QDMA branches. http://www.qdma.com/corporate/start-a-branch -
I think there was a 335 Magnum that didnt have the IRS as well.

I didnt have my driveway plowed, and had about 2 1/2 feet at the end of the driveway from the plow and sidewalk plow. Put it in 4 Low and walked it right out, no problem.

Yes, and they do. I know someone that is friends with a Dicks employee, and gets it from him. Once a month the employees buy an entire shipment up for themselves. Thats what Ive been told at least.

16 1/2" in my town. Id say thats pretty accurate judging from what was around my truck and in the driveway this morning.

QDM Meeting with Neighbors

Oh I know, I was just saying that the DEC cant manage things specifically, its up to the hunter and landowner. I know of some of GJS4's issues and struggles, and I think there are quite a few of us that deal with similar types of things. I know you do, and so do I. I would love to see the DEC do a better job with things, and get harsher on poachers. With the way this state wastes money, I just dont see it happening any time soon. The funding just isnt there to support the employees they need, equipment, proper research programs, etc etc. The best we can do is educate at this point. -
CT gun confiscation
WNYBuckHunter replied to boo711's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Hang on, how was anything stopped by journalists? From what I can find, it was one D-Bag cop running his mouth online, and he was put on leave for it. Im glad he was given some type of punishment for that kind of talk, but I just dont see how his comments reflect on the attitude of every cop, or even most cops in CT. The fact that he was put on leave for it leads me to believe that what he said most likely doesnt jive with reality. I know quite a few LEOs, and none of them would want to be any part of confiscating guns. -
8 months until the election

Trump will never ever run. Too many skeletons in his closet that would be brought out quickly and decisively. He uses the buzz to market himself and then bows out as soon as some heat gets turned on him. -
QDM Meeting with Neighbors
WNYBuckHunter replied to dbHunterNY's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
The DEC cant manage the deer herd to a QDM or TDM standard. They dont have the money, and never will. Educating people is the key to turning things around, and if you look at the trends in yearling buck take in NY, you can see it is turning around. Its slow, but we are getting there. We will never be like the midwest states, the hunter density is too high, and the land is too broken up. You and I live in some of the best areas of the state, due to mineral content in the soil, and the amount of AG in the area and other factors. We have the potential for nice deer, and it shows each and every year. The more people that are educated, the better it will get, and you have to admit, its pretty darn good already, especially in comparison to some other areas of the state. -
Should have just bought an EOTech and called it a day.... at least you put a variable power scope on it though. hahahahahahahaha

Were getting pounded in the city of Rochester. My office is closing in 10 mins. Gonna be a fun ride home.

Hmmm, Larry might be right. His IP traces back to a DSL connection through a long distance carrier in the Phillipines. Id still take the Vortex glass over that cheapo stuff.....
