Looking for some insight on Alsike clover
land 1 replied to chas0218's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
i have two clover plots currently one is whitetail instatiute the other is just a basic ladino they eat both but the wi gets hit way harder, even tho the ladino looks more lush and appears to grow better, also dont go by this past year as far as moisture rain was way above normal and even places that are normally dry where wet -
i get what ur saying but what if ur the guy who owns land in that area and cant draw a tag for land he owns, i think the ones out west apply to public land

um if the cops get a call they can come on the landed posted /gated how else are they to make contact with the homeowner to investigate /interview any type of call , what the cops suppose to send u a letter hay need to speak with u lol , builidings / houses are no go.
-
So Al they just picked you out at random.....I get there my have been a false comp. made but they still need to investigate all calls sounds like there may be a little more behind the unwanted attention, Not saying you or DEC were wrong just more to the story. I re-call on time a group of guys get stopped and everyone was friendly but one guy who busted the balls of ECO guess who got a ticket ....

ECO have no special power then any other cop...they need a reason to be on private property a complaint a reason to believe something may be up just seeing some in hunting clothes is enough. As far as going into buildings if they look threw a window and see a violation plain view thats fair game no searching without a warrant or consent . looking and searching are not the same very fine line just saying... but most are great guys doing there job
-
thanks good info

One of the guys is doing a deep fried turkey friday other then that the normal venison chilie stew steaks

Nope your 100% correct i just let them clean the meat off then take the bone away

Keep things the way they area I hunt private and public both bow and gun if you put the time and work in you should see deer and fill a tag or too. No there are not mature bucks behind every tree nor will there ever be. As far as AR's im not in favor of it guys area passing on smaller bucks on there own, i like to get 2.5yrs old or better but am happy shooting a 1.5 if time is winding down

Form some past knowledge I have swing down to your local PD or whoever state sheriffs etc, and ask them about this section of law PL145.25 Reckless endangerment of property not regularly used as a charge but seems to fit its a very hard to charge withe the dollar amount and the wording within it and u Still have to prove who the suspect is but maybe it will at least get them to talk with possible suspect "crazy neighbor" and get him to back off and advise him that no he dosnt have permission to be on property. I would do everything to nip this in the bu before real damage is done

i built a camp 3 yrs ago and did research i had a 36 by 24 steel pole barn built by RLS construction for 15000, then i did the interior in ruff cut lumber and floor for maybe 5000 wood stuff beds furtinure etc within the 5grand ... it was by far the cheapest way to go for that size... unless u did it all urself in rough cut

November or April frost seeding
land 1 replied to corydd7's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Spring just as the snow is melting away should help you beat the weeds, even if you put it down in November / fall it still will germinate same time in the spring when temps are right, and you may loose some seed if you put it down now -
the pipes have diffrent clearance ratings the one i used was a special triple wall 0 clearance the pipe never gets hot cost $$$ never use just use single from the box to roof
