  1. I agree. That's why I said it's meaning on a week long guided hunt is different than hunting the same farm or properties the entire season.
  2. Either one should be available in most areas. My cousin has direct TV in his bar/butcher shop. Aside from the guide and channel numbers being different from dish network, I think they are fairly equal.
  3. I have dish network. Direct TV is a different provider.
  4. Been with dish network for over 20 yrs. Never had them triple the price. Yes they have gone up a few times, but no huge jumps.
  5. I think it's a great quote if you're on a guided trip or if you only hunt public land, it might come into play more so than if you're hunting the same private parcels the entire season.
  6. Never forget. Been watching the local news. One 6 sec reminder, then onto bashing trump for several minutes. What a shame.
  7. I did on the hot sausage ones. Like to try some with blu cheese, but not sure what to mix with it.
  8. I read that this morning. This state doesn't give a crap about the shooting sports, or our history when guns were involved. The queen has made it clear she will do everything and anything possible to get every gun removed from the hands of law abiding citizens.
  9. Glad you liked them. Fun part is now tweeting the recipe to suit your taste. Sausage stuffer might work, but then you have to clean that. I wear rubber gloves and use a little flour to keep them from sticking so bad. I made some the other day with hot sausage and added diced jalapenos. Not too bad, but I think if I added the right rub to the outside, they might have been a little better.
  10. Boggles my mind that my area isn't included in this early hunt. I counted over 125 deer the other evening by driving by fields that were no more than a 6 min drive from my house. 30+ of the deer were in two field only a few hundred yards apart on the farm I hunt.
  11. Good luck to those that are out. Looking forward to some pics. Going out later to set some cams out. Re- activated my 4 cell cams yesterday and been debating on what areas to set them in.
  12. I'm not looking to go on state land. But some roads would be county, but most would be town roads. Those 3000+ watt bikes are definitely expensive.
  13. 3000 watts? Most I'm seeing are 1000 or less.
  14. I've been thinking about getting one, but holy hell there's a ton of manufacturers and types out there. What do you have, and is it what you expected? Pros, cons.. I'd be looking for something that would be a dual light trail riding/hunting and some back road riding. The dedicated hunting bikes are way more than I'm willing to pay.
  15. Neither do the ones who claim to be politically savey.
  16. I seen tons a grouse on my trips too. Then I was told that a good portion of those were actually spruce grouse and are protected. Glad you had a good time. Hot weather definitely keeps movement down.
  17. Went to field and stream in Albany yesterday and there wasn't a single round of ammo on the shelf. Shelves weren't empty, they were filled with other hunting odds and ends. Not sure if this has anything to do with the queen's new law's, but it sure looks that way.
  18. I'd go with a bolt action. Can load 1 in the clip effectively making it a single shot. When older, and more mature, load it up.
  19. Lol, don't feel bad. I did the same thing the first time I made them, they were slightly over cooked and too big. It's a good thing I made them big because if they were smaller, they would have been dried out completely.

    1st one...

Seen one yesterday with 3 others still in velvet.
  21. I'm a FOB, and dry rub guy. I also use the 321 for St Louis and full racks for FOB. I sauce 3-4 times during the last hr. I've often cooked them without foil to get ribs with a little tug, saucing a few times during the last hr or so. Don't cook baby backs waste of money IMO.
