  1. I'm not looking to go on state land. But some roads would be county, but most would be town roads. Those 3000+ watt bikes are definitely expensive.
  2. 3000 watts? Most I'm seeing are 1000 or less.
  3. I've been thinking about getting one, but holy hell there's a ton of manufacturers and types out there. What do you have, and is it what you expected? Pros, cons.. I'd be looking for something that would be a dual light trail riding/hunting and some back road riding. The dedicated hunting bikes are way more than I'm willing to pay.
  4. Neither do the ones who claim to be politically savey.
  5. I seen tons a grouse on my trips too. Then I was told that a good portion of those were actually spruce grouse and are protected. Glad you had a good time. Hot weather definitely keeps movement down.
  6. Went to field and stream in Albany yesterday and there wasn't a single round of ammo on the shelf. Shelves weren't empty, they were filled with other hunting odds and ends. Not sure if this has anything to do with the queen's new law's, but it sure looks that way.
  7. I'd go with a bolt action. Can load 1 in the clip effectively making it a single shot. When older, and more mature, load it up.
  8. Lol, don't feel bad. I did the same thing the first time I made them, they were slightly over cooked and too big. It's a good thing I made them big because if they were smaller, they would have been dried out completely.

    1st one...

Seen one yesterday with 3 others still in velvet.
  10. I'm a FOB, and dry rub guy. I also use the 321 for St Louis and full racks for FOB. I sauce 3-4 times during the last hr. I've often cooked them without foil to get ribs with a little tug, saucing a few times during the last hr or so. Don't cook baby backs waste of money IMO.
  11. Nice trailer. Should give you many yrs of service.
  12. That's fantastic. Need to get more of our youth involved in the outdoors.
  13. So in May I switched to At&T. Both tactacams are Verizon as well as my stealth cam. Cell cams didn't enter my mind when I switched. Does anyone know if these cell cams will send pics to my phone?
  14. But I'm not. I get your point though. I'll find out in a couple years if our plans to move to Tennessee happen. On a side note, I went on a combo deer/hog hunt in SC few yrs ago. Temps were in the 70-80's. Had a good time, but definitely didn't enjoy the temps.
  15. I've made them with breakfast sausage and sweet Italian. I preferred the breakfast sausage.
  16. I've been checked many times by DEC over the yrs. Never once been asked for a permission note.
  17. I'm with land on this. Hate deer hunting when it's warm out. I'm still on the old Oct 15th opening day schedule.
  18. Hate seeing this. Buddy of mine lives in Stockport, just north of Hudson. Last yr his area was hit hard with EHD. He's only 20 miles south of me, and my area, thankfully, was spared. Talked to him a few days ago and he said the deer numbers are definitely low, and he hasn't seen any evidence of EHD in his area this yr. Hopefully it stays that way.

    Tuna charter

Sounds like a great trip. Buddy of mine just won a tuna trip from a hunting club raffle. He's booked for next July.
