I've been using American Whitetail 139 g interlock. Taken deer from 5 yrds to 300 yrds. Far more accurate than I'm capable of being.

My cousin throws out corn and feed for his chicken and ducks every day after work. The turkeys learned the routine and come running when he feed the fowl. This hen has a decent beard. I'm probably standing 15' from these birds.

You don't see them up for sale very often, and when you do there usually well loved condition. A mint condition 17 is a rare find, but as you know, there not a collectors must have. If you plan on keeping the shotgun, pay the $500. I think it's worth a little more. If you're buying to flip, than I understand wanting to get it for less. -

I agree. They might be in someone's freezer. Fisher cat possibly. 3 gone in 4 days seems odd. Jake's don't like to be alone. They stick together like glue.

Not really from the woods, but head my first gobble from the new house this morning. Had 8 jakes coming in to the bird feeder past week. Now there's only 6. Something or someone got 2 of them.

I've taken my share of jake's. See nothing wrong with it. I'll admit, it's been probably 15+ yrs since I've taken one though. I've definitely been irritated enough to think about blasting 'em. Especially when a group of 6-8 of 'em gang up on a LB and run him off.
