That buck is more than healthy. He shedding his winter coat. They often look sickly at this point. If he was, he wouldn't be growing antlers. All his resources would be going to fight whatever you think he's fighting.

I once hunted a area that had a creek separating the property's. Little before roost time I'd set up and call like mad. I'd cut, cackle and just make a crap load of horny hen calls. Every once in a while, one would fly over to my side before roosting, and roost on my side. One time I had to lay prone in a field because a tom came over to my side and was quite eager to meet his new girlfriend. It was so dark, I could barely see him strutting 30 yrds away. Next morning it took one series of ckucks once it reached legal shooting time.

What kind of hearing protection you use for turkey hunting if any .

Nothing in the field. I've tried the walkers game ears. Hated them. I've done lawn care for almost 25 years. I've always used earmuffs while working. My hearing is better than most my age. No ringing or other issues. Always use hearing protection on the range. -
There's know what in hell king Andy isn't going to dip into that cookie jar.

There's no comedy like that today. Clean, well Vicky did say "asshole" lol. But to get Vicky, Carol and others to try and hide the laughing during the show was the best part. Tim knew the perfect time to add the next line. His timing was perfect. Nobody today came come close to those characters. Truly the best of that area.

That's exactly how I missed this opening day. Right handed, and it was a very hard right shot. When the gun went off, I pulled to the left, a lot. I should have waited, but the opening day jitters got the best of me.

Ya, that certainly doesn't help. I've educated more than I care to admit. Some now have a PHD in avoiding hunters.
