That's the main argument I hear when talking to "anti crossbow" archery hunters. Read it numerous times in more than one forum including this one. What other reason would the anti crossbow guys be scared of? Now im only using "scared" because thats the title of this thread. Concerned fits better.

Because some think the xbow season, especially full inclusion will eventually shorten the overall bow season do to a increase in harvest. Hence, their "scared"

Taking both my grandnephews out. Only Kayden could hunt last yr, but this yr his brother Dominic is hunting also. Been seeing some birds in the same area Kayden got his last yr. Hopefully they will stay close. Lou, post a list of things you would like donated.

Those are great wooly. I haven't seen a woodcock in yrs. Watched my cousin catch one yrs ago during fall turkey season. We were set up near a swamp one evening hunt, and this woodcock walked literally into his lap. He grabbed it and after letting it go, it just walked away. Lol

My dad taught me the basics about deer hunting, and fishing. He didn't bow hunt, so that was mostly self taught. Turkey hunting was definitely on me to learn. Made lots of mistakes throughout the yrs, but each one made me a better hunter.

Let my dogs out around 6:20 this morning. Figured they were barking at some deer down in the woods. However, I was surprised to hear 3-4 gobblers a couple hundred yards away. Everytime one of the dogs barked, they sounded off. Listened to them for about 10 min trying to out do my muts. Maybe I've stumbled onto something and I'll bring my dogs turkey hunting. Lol

I'm not waiting till May 1st. Well, I'll be taking the grandnephews out youth weekend. We'll definitely do some early morning scouting and evening roosting. Definitely no calling till the hunt. Don't want to educate them.

About 10:30 I Walked outside to go meet a client. Wait... What was that... OMG is gobbling. On the neighbors land I hear several birds gobbling. I can see several hens on my land. ( Only own 1.8 acres) The gobblers were a couple hundred yards further. I grabbed a month call, and got them all fired up. I can't hunt that land, so I don't care if I educate them. I left my phone in the truck as I scrounged for some calls, so unfortunately no pics. I called 6 toms within 20 yrds while I was wearing jeans and a light blue sweatshirt. The sight of them strutting in the snow was something I've only seen a couple times over the years. Watched them dance around for over a hr. Needless to say, I was almost 2 hrs late to my meeting. Priorities, mind you. Lucky my client is a turkey hunting nut, and when I explained the delay, his only response was he wished he was there. Lol.

I figured from the start he didn't break that rod on a fish. Kids are good at saying things at the wrong time....

I used my grinder attachment for 15 min before it overheated my lightly used 2 yr old KA pro and ruined it.

I usually get the smaller frame call. Just easier for me to use.
