  1. Nope. Not playing. Unrealistic options.
  2. Oh boy...... Honey, have I told you how much I love you lately...........
  3. I hear ya. I was sick with pneumonia most of February. Was in the hospital when we had that 70+* day. Couldn't even enjoy that. I'm more than ready for spring. Glad this next noreaster is going south of my area.
  4. Rob & Maddie, I never know what to say in these situations. Except sorry for your loss.
  5. I wouldn't hesitate to use my .40s&w on a bear that was still breathing but down. Any more life than that, I'm using my rifle. But if I was looking for a round to carry only in the woods, that I COULD hunt a deer or bear if it was close enough, I'd pic the 10mm. Shot a few, and liked em alot. Ammo is readily available with lots a bullet choices. Easier to carry around the woods then a large frame revolver.
  6. Before the snow, I seen a few strutting. Haven't seen a feather since.
  7. X2.... I faked sick once. Mom kept me home from school. When all my friends got home from school and were outside playing, mom said I couldn't go out because I was sick. Didn't quite work out as I planned. Lol
  8. Only wear it when were doing drives. My hunting area is private. All the surrounding lands are private and do not allow any hunting and some are patrolled during the season. One landowner had a 5' fence installed on the border of his 600 acre parcel. People in my area know not to trespass on these lands. If you get caught, you will be arrested. Now admittedly, my area isn't typical. One needs to make thier own choice depending on the situation. I've never hunted public lands or in the NZ. I'd definitely wear some blaze orange if I did.
  9. I hunt some Very large fields, all private land. I tried this last yr with fantastic results. But I was well over 100 yrds from any cover. There's no way in hell a hunter was going to stalk me without me knowing it. I totally agree, it should only be used if the safe. Like mentioned above, definitely not in states where rifles are used. I'm thinking about trying it with the bow this spring. Think it wrong to say it shouldn't be allowed.
  10. I wouldn't bash someone for having that done, but to me it's just not natural. I could see some viewing it as looking unethical also. A direct shoulder shot isn't something I be proud of.

    Bullhead

One of my favorite fish. Haven't fished for em in yrs. I mostly fished for them in ponds or small lakes. Mid April was the best time in my area. Always used crawlers.
  12. Yes. Still in new Lebanon. Only a 35-40 min drive. Lived out here long enough that 25 min to a supermarket is like a drive around the block. Lol
  13. Well, I was at the store last week. Not a single 223. Didn't ask why. Now maybe it's a regional thing. Latham is next to Albany. Might have to swing by later in the week to check things out. Could be they decided to put the 223 back on the shelves, as they sell 223 bolt action rifles
  14. Not full of crap. I was at the store a few days later. Not a single 223 round to be found. Store has always had a large selection of 511. Only thing I found was there belts.
  15. Last yr I seen bucks about this time. That's a nice buck too. Wondering if there could still be a doe or two coming into heat? This would be the 4th heat. Seems unlikely.
  16. Well, that's one thing I never believe.. Polls. Too easy to manipulate.
  17. Buddy of mine was in F&S in Latham the last week. Two of the workers in the gun department were complaining about memos they received and were in the process of completing. Removing all .223-5.56 ammo from the shelves. And removing all 511 apparel INCLUDING American flag patches because they may be concerned offencive. I went in the store yesterday, and verified that in fact the ammo was removed and no longer available. Asked where the American patches were. The answer I received was they are no longer carried because of lack of sales. The only 511 stuff I can find was belts. Really disappointed in this company.
  18. The point is the best. Anybody that says different, is wrong.. .
  19. The best ive had has to be Black buck. Buddy of mine got a couple in Texas few yrs back. It was incredible.
  20. Wife has knick knacks all over the place. Can't tell ya what any of em are. If My deer mounts and racks get dust on em, or are crooked, I notice.
