Between myself, dad, brother, nephew's and cousins, plus the few yrs I've cut for a buddy during the season, I've butchered several hundred whitetail. I've seen just about every shot placement from just about every caliber out there. Trust me, you have no clue what your talking about. Also, you already let us know about the vast experience you have with the .243 and deer being 2 that were badly hit, and your acting like your a ballistic expert. Is the .243 a good short range brush gun? No. Is the .44m a good long range gun? No. Make a bad shot with either and your wasting meat. PERIOD.

Either caliber will result in the hinds being toast.

Believe me, I've tried this. Put them in before the walk in and I'm sweating so bad there usless. Tried to put them in after I'm in stand, but then I have to take my boots off in 20° weather and at that point nothing helps. ThermaCELL has worked well, but I'm open to something that works better.

As did mine. Not to worried about them being tight. I did notice they want the socks washed in a "bag". Is that how they get around the warranty? I'll hand wash each pair, but I'm getting a bad vibe now that I think about it.

Maybe that's why they push the extended warranty? I plan on using one pair exclusively. We'll see how long they last.

Suns out with a light mist. 57°. In a doghouse blind near a couple apple trees that are still dropping and all tore up underneath. Big 6 or better is on my hit list because of the warmth.

Well, I picked one up. Rather impressed with it. Got it dialed in dead on at 40y. Even with the cocking rope shortened to the shortest possible length, I have a hard time cocking it with my bad shoulder. The cocking device is very helpful. I can even let it down. No more shooting it to uncock.

All I know is he was generous enough to give you a free bow and yet you still take shots at him every chance you get. Speaks volumes to your character. Sorry. Chef lied to you. That bow is being used only by my nephew. I have never shot the bow myself. I've been shooting a PSE stinger X for several years. If you don't choose to believe me, that's on you. Also the fact that I've never been warned multiple times by the mods... Ain't that the pot calling the kettle black

I've got poor circulation in my feet also. No boot can keep my toes warm. The insoles work well for me.

I've got the ThermaCELL heated insoles. Absolutely love them. Just difficult to find now.

Mine has shooting rails.
