  1. Its hard not to patron everywhere that has bad policies that you might not agree with . If you read through all of there policies at each big business we prob wouldnt be able to buy/use anywhere. lol Do you buy stuff from China....... etc etc. I always try to do what i can and buy more often from local mom and pop businesses. Esp restaurants. Or try to buy american made products when avail . But I cant see why Dicks was so singled out when Walmart did the exact same thing and so will many others. Walmart also has a policy to ask if your buying pistol ammo and asks to see your permit. This isnt a law ..... but company policy. And if you went thru every banks policy .... oh my........ If you buy them at Dicks I wont tell! lol but let us know how the sighting in goes!
  2. walmart has the same policy change as Dicks. If you shop at walmart - i would shop at Dicks. They arent changing their policy and the ring manufacturer cert didnt pull their merchandise for Dicks to sell. I wouldnt feel guilty but I would be shooting with my new scope rings! lol
  3. do you still buy stuff at walmart? I would just stop and get them.
  4. My entire staff once called in. Each one of them called the office at said they were sick. So i took all the vehicles and parked them behind the building before they got here. (that was a mess there were 22 buses at the time so I really packed them in behind in the grass) So when they got in they didnt see any of them. I told them I thought they called in so i had it covered. They really thought i did since all the vehicles were gone.
  5. when bowhunting do you take an early doe first? I always seem to look for that early doe to fill the freezer with at least the one deer, then concentrate on a chance of a good buck. It of course doesnt always work out that way. And last year it was great to be able to do that cause it did work out and i had a chance to try for a nice buck and got real close to that a couple of times. But it also foiled me that same day I shot the doe, had another doe come in 20 minutes later with a nice buck on her tail. I mean right on her tail sniffing it. She walked right by my stand and even stopped and squatted, so i thought for sure the buck was coming. Instead he was in the brush near where i shot the doe and he mustve got wind of her blood on the ground (heart shot) and he never came thru. but was wondering what most do - take that early season freezer queen and that way can worry less about the meat and more about the big buck later? For me i am going to take that first big doe all the time and even if it means later in the season cause the main goal is to fill the freezer first. Or do you just hunt for that buck and take a late season doe or just do that during gun season?
  6. have to remember this the next time during deer season where i have morning that i think im old and dont want to get up to hunt !!
  7. i once called in a Jake with a beer bottle and car keys. lol I was out in the backyard and saw a jake in the brush . knocked my beer bottle on the keys in my pocket a few times and he came right out into the back yard looking for it. Dilly Dilly - it was a bud light longneck
  8. I'm gonna think outside the box. The best rifle is the Daisy bb gun. It was prob the first gun most of us shot, and the first so many have used and has gotten so many people hooked on shooting sports. It's the gateway gun.
  9. I don't get it..,so she thought he bought dinner too? Lol
  10. if the car will do this and she will ride with me ....... bring on the tech!
  11. there are computers that run the electric grid and nuclear power plants etc etc. this would be no different. And yes a person could have avoided this one accident in Arizona but how many people today caused fatal accidents on the road ? on average 103 people die everyday on the road. With thousands of injuries. Yes the computer will have errors due to the unpredictable actions of people but these actions are also what causes the most accidents behind the wheel.
