  1. I always caught them in hav-a-hart traps using tuna fish, eggs, and/or the cheapest raw chicken I could buy at the store.
  2. I actually wouldn't be able to make it this year, but wanted to get a preference point. My luck i'd get picked lol Youtube has tons of PA Elk videos.
  3. I agree.....I think they only give out like 10-20 bull elk tags per year....the season is like 4-5 days and ever year mutiple 300"+ bulls are taken. I heard the check-in station is an awesome sight.
  4. From the PA regulations book: Taking Advantage of Food or Bait: It is unlawful to hunt in or around any area where artifi cial or natural bait, food, hay, grain, fruit, nuts, salt, chemicals or minerals, including their residues, are used, or have been used within the past 30 days, as an enticement to lure game or wildlife regardless of the type or quantity. Hunters are responsible for ensuring that the hunting area has not been baited before they begin hunting. They should physically inspect the area and question landowners, guides and caretakers. This section does not pertain to hunting near areas where accepted farming or habitat management practices are taking place (example: hunting near food plots on game lands is legal). Any natural or manmade nonliving bait can be used to attract coyotes for hunting or trapping. Scents & Lures: Estrous scents and lures, or other non-food source cover scents are legal for deer. Scents and lures that contain any form of natural or artifi cial food stuff, including, but not limited to, corn, apple and acorns are not legal. Use of drip devices are legal, with legal scents and lures, as long as they don’t violate the prohibition against electronic devices. The use of scents or lures while hunting bears is prohibited.
  5. Thats why I have never hunted from a treestand in my life.
  6. I know a guy who has very nice food plots. In addition to these nice food plots, he puts those big texas-style feeders with corn, etc. His answer is "I dont have the patience to hunt areas where deer might walk by". Last year on opening day of Bow, he took a 7 pointer, his friend took a 5 pointer a few hours later, and the next day their other friend took a 6 pointer. He asked me why his property doesnt have any monster bucks? All he has trail cam pics of is spikes, 3's, and 4's......He said I can come hunt whenever I want, he gaurantees I will see a buck. I said no thanks, and was more than happy with my 3 pointer on Thanksgiving morning that I shot at 930am while still-hunting.
  7. I pray to see something like that on 11/17 at 7am.
  8. Maybe he's drunk and fell down?
  9. I would say sleeping, but it appears its eyes are open?
  10. Yes Raccoons are tough. I tried to kill one with a .177 air rifle and after many shots to the head it was still alive. I put it down with a .22 handgun. I had the skull of the raccoon cleaned by beatles and the skull has the pellets embedded in the skull...crazy.
  11. 90+ degrees on Friday and Saturday here.
  12. An outfitter I hunted with in PA sent me this trail cam pic he got. Pretty funny! Bear almost looks dead.
  13. Interesting. I never seen dogs priced so cheap.
  14. cool pic, but you shot into the ground?
  15. I'll be more than happy with an awards animal someday.
  16. Just incase I ever saw a cool looking albino doe or something. Its $10, not $20.
  17. The PA elk are huge! Many 8x8's and bigger running around there. The outfitter I hunted deer with in PA showed me videos he took of like 6-7 big bull elks together. All looked to be big 5x5's or bigger! I just checked his website and he does Elk viewing tours. "ELK VIEWING: WE HAVE ELK WITHIN 10 MILES OF THE CAMP AND DURING THE SEPTEMBER RUT YOU CAN SEE MANY TROPHY BULLS AND COWS. TOURS CAN BE ARRANGED TO SEE AND BUGLE IN BULLS.." http://www.littlegeneraloutfitters.com/
  18. Yup. Also, the 1967 gun is made in W. Germany, unlike the new ones.
  19. The only thing I am astonished about is how dumb you sounded when you said $2500 could take both rifles. Anybody with the slightest bit of knowledge regarding guns would know that both of these guns combined are worth way more $2,500 combined. If you are going to bash me and I disagree with you, I am going to say something. I'm not sorry if I made you cry.
  20. If the people were in fact, shot by NYPD, will they get a big chunk of $ from NYPD? I'd take a bullet grazing for a few million.
  21. 2 Dead (1 is gunmen), 10 injured......so far
  22. Lord, Jesus Christ! MONSTER. Who cares about Net Score, its all about Gross! I love stickers and trash.
